an Evo question

Postby Maserati » August 26th, 2006, 8:27 pm

has the Evo deviated from its heritage?I mean the Rally Car it was born..has it gone along more the lines of a street/drag car now? They say they intend to return in 2008 WRC...but I personally feel gone are the days where the Evo was noted for their Rallying...

as for subaru they still maintain their WRC team and know where they came from.

Evo's mostly won as Group N cars until the wrc class cars became more competitive. After that I think it also had to do with the team not being able to put together any wins as well as playing catch up with the other teams. The actual rally cars were built in England by Ralliart. Mitsubishi(japan) shipped over the bodies and developed the engines.

Evo's were always factory models anyone could purchase and drive on the street (to satisfy Group N )whereas wrc cars are purpose built race cars that just look like production cars.

Maserati,

I believe that Mitsu gonna keep the Evo true to its bloodline - Rally

Andrew Cowan and teh other RALLI///// /////ART owners have a great thing going on and coupled with the japanese, the 4G63 just keeps evolving for its nature call - rally

they make great street cars, but are heavily underused and do not get to show off their true potential on the street - just check Uncle Sanctifier's as an example

Mitsu Powa!!!
