The Crown is all about a butter smooth ride and engine experience. Having the linearity and balance of an inline 6 was the hallmark of that experience which was lost 2 decades ago.

A modern Crown, as technologically sophisticated as it is, can never hold a candle to what we've experienced with the S140,150 and 170 generations. An optional V6 hybrid comes close, but the spirit of the original is lost forever.
