Battery poles

Postby rayrayray » April 17th, 2021, 1:19 pm

Tuners, I need your help. So I heard a clicking sound on my NZE corolla a few times this week.It was not starting, but after a few tries it would tumble. As it's the weekend I decided to have the battery inspected at Lauglin. The technician did his thing and said the battery was okay. He also said one pole was slack and he tighten it. He mentioned if the issue persists to check the starter. Before I drove off the compound..on the first start it reoccurring. Second attempt..sucess.

Reach by Shane Ramjitshingh in Marabella, he did his work on the starter only to discover a broken battery pole.

I want to return to Laughlin, but they are now closed. Idk if they will replace.

My question..can poles be repaired or replaced ? Is it reliable ? Is it recommended.

Considering getting a new battery as well because idk if driving with it like this can cause different issues.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Is the battery under warranty? Might have some recourse there if it is.

However there are ppl who rebuild battery poles. There is a sign heading south just after Beujcal.

Warranty expired in December. Ok I will follow up with the recommendation. Thanks.
