Schaeffer's Oil

Postby kerwinishere » January 18th, 2021, 5:54 pm

Anyone have reviews for this brand of oil? Specifically to be used in a 141 Axio. Also, can anyone recommend Ashnick Automotive Services from Cipero Road (Golconda)?

Going there about 10 years now.

so I service the following vehicles there by Ashnick:
2011 Hilux- use to get 700km - vehicle sold recently
2020 hilux- get 751-780 km currently
2010 CRV - Wife
2014 Rav 4 - Dad
2006 NZE
2019 Vezel - Sis in law
2015 Santa Fe - Sis
2007 Tida -Sis

So yes i use Schaeffer Oil on all these vehicles.
Quieter engines

Also i use Schaeffer Transmission oil on all

will continue to service my vehicles there and use Schaeffer products

Not sure what a Axio uses

for something like an axio, it really doesn't matter what brand you use, as long as it's the right viscosity and you change your oil on time
It's not a highly stressed engine so why spend money on a 'premium brand' oil?

I used to buy The Shaeffers Racing oil (20w50) from him back when I was on my AWD, flat 4 turbocharged days. Never had an issue and the oil used to hold out better than Royal Purple!

define 'hold out better' because that's highly subjective

So, since you brought it up, what is your secret oil additive?

Lol I was wondering the same thing.
Most commercially available oils are quite good.
There are many additives included in thejr blends and adding any more were tested to be of minimal effect to the extent of being counter productive.
