Parking and reversing out on a wet concrete driveway

Postby vally » May 31st, 2015, 9:38 am

My new concrete driveway was built on a steep hill and the car was parked halfway last night. Rain fell, driveway wet and car can't reverse out. How to rectify the problem? I can't deal with this dotishness every-time rain falls.

Apply a non skid surface to aid in the traction

The dotishness was supposed to be dealt with when the driveway was being built.

Cutting groves wouldn't work ,cutting grooves might work though.

You need to install heating pads under the concrete to dry it everytime rain fall.

You need to construct a shed over the driveway.

You need to change your tyres to track.

Get a hammer and chisel or rent a hilti if you have the money. Chip the surface of the concrete and then apply a layer of cement on it. Use a hard broom to 'rough up' the surface to make it non skid.
