Opinions/advice on vehicle purchase

Postby Scoop » August 12th, 2014, 8:01 am

Good day 2ners. I have come seeking opinions on a vehicle purchase. The time has come for me to upgrade my daily driver.
The criteria I am considering are:
High reliability
Safety
Low maintenance costs
High fuel efficiency
Resale value after 5-7 yrs

So far I am considering:
Local used low mileage Corolla
2014 corolla
2.5 auto hilux
Elantra
Tucson

Ay the end of the day, the intention is to acquire a vehicle which should provide at least 5-7years trouble free service while being able to hold resale value after that period. Please share your thoughts/opinions/advice
Thanks

First of all, none of the above would be 5-7 years trouble free operation. Stuff gets worn out and new parts are typically expensive.

That aside, probably the Corolla or the Hilux would be safe bets.
