My Honda SOHC BUILD

Tuners as the topic says, i have always wanted to do a sohc build to run with some b series builds. I have a EJ1 coupe, (aka Cammo civic/Monster civic), well the SR is long gone, and im moving on with my sohc project. Will post pics as the build progresses

Car: EJ1 Coupe

Suspension: Energy sus bushings, BWR lower control arms (rear) BWR Camber arms (rear) Skunk 2 (front) camber arms, Type R upper Strut bar, Mugen lower tie bar.

Braking: Wilwood Dynapro Radial Big Brake Front Brake Kit, Oem Rear disc (17c)

Engine:D16Y8 SOHC. Recommendations and advice made by Real St. Performance.

(1) ACT lightned flywheel
(2) ARP flywheel bolts
(3) ACL Race Bearings
(4) Eagle "H" Beam Rods
(5) CP Pistons
(6) Golden Eagle Block Guard
(7) Cometic Head Gasket
(8) ARP Head Studs
(9) Comp Cam Pro Series complete head kit.
(10) Skunk 2 Pro Series Intake Manifold
(11) Skunk2 70mm TB
(12) 850cc Injectors
(13) AEM hi flow fuel rail
(14) Walbro 325lph fuel pump
(15) AEM Coil on plug ignition system.
(16) Haltech Standalone Engine Management.
(17) Greddy 05H turbo kit
(18) BWR adjustable cam gear
(19) Gates blue timing belt with upgraded waterpump and tensioner.

Gearbox: Recommendations and advice made by MFactory Performance
(1) S40 Gearbox
(2) 40mm Helical LSD rated 1000whp
(3) Aftermarket MFactory 1st Gear
(4) Aftermarket MFactory 1st Gear

Thats all at the moment, i will keep updating the thread as i progress.

Nice i always like the performance of the SOHC.
One thing i did not see listed is CAMSHAFTS, alot of people overlook these when it comes to Honda engines
Very important for a build using a small displacement engine.
Look at this comparison for results
Very simple, but Bisimoto dominates with the 2.4 grind

Wow, nice parts list, good job on suspension.
Planning to use any coilover setup? The EJ1 chassis should be easy to score parts from the US

Brandon #9 it's a comp pro cam with the supporting springs etc. Yes I'm looking for a set of coilovers but it will have to be ek type as I am using the BWR rear lower control arms

thanks bro, Brandon i went to bisimoto initially, but the support was poor IMHO more like part sales, and thats it. With Real st. and MFactory i have them both on watsapp and just one phone call away at anytime day or night, technical advice and support on hand. Besides i just want the car comfortable at 225-260whp, not too much whp.
