Any thoughts on the BMW X3 ?

Postby Strauss » May 31st, 2005, 1:23 pm

Think the X5 is a lovely vehicle. (Up to 4.8L)
Never really had a good look at the X3 tho. (Up to 3L)

actually the one in my photo looks like the 2004 model, which looks like almost the same size at the X5.

The 2006 models looks smaller to me, and curvier, while the X5 more square on the ends. (A man's ride?). Looks like they tryin to position the X3 to take on the RAV4 (smaller, sportier), not so much the XTrail.

I saw a review on Top Gear some time ago....they didn't like it at all. They actually took it off road and had to get a Land Rover to pull it out of the mud. They also said the X3 isn't manufactured in Germany....I think it's built somewhere in asia.

it is sheit. it is now officially the most ugly suv in our market. second to last place will go to the hyundai tuscon, hyundai santa fe and the kia sportage. other uglies will be the outlander, freelander, patrol and xl-7. The crv, grand vitara, tribute, xtrail, forester, sorrento, rav4, discovery, range rover, x5, xc90, cayenne, pajero and prado are nice.

its interior is ugly and tacky and still posseses cheapish materials and its reliability will be subpar compared to the Jap utes. a roro Lexus RX300/RX330 is probably the most perfect luxury suv in the world.

Overpriced, If you spending that kinda money might as well go X5.
X3 also kinda ugly, like a jacked up E46 3 series.
X5 getting long in the the tooth too, time for a refresh in my opinion
