HELP ME PLZ SOMEONE...(transfer)

I bought a car 3 months ago from a doctor and failed to transfer right away. He flew out of the country before i could get around to doing the transfer and on searching i realised i cant find my reciept on purchase, all i have is the certified copy on me. I really need to transfer because i want to sell over. Any advice on how i can go about getting my car transfered in this situation cause i lost???????????

hey pal dont be fooled by people who would want to benefit from your distress..........the legal way to go about this is go to licensce office in POS and speak to the chief clerk .......he would advise you to swear an affidavit that you bought the vehicle and can now not find the owner he will also ask you to swear an affidavit for losing the receipt.these affidavits you can get right across the road from licensce office.after doing this you would be allowed to transfer the vehicle after being put on to the comissioner.
