Who's right?

Postby greall » June 29th, 2011, 4:52 am

Good morning guys and gals,

Two questions have been bugging me for quite some time now especially after getting diverging views.

[1] Is it better to let your car warm up before driving off? A few minutes of normal idling without depressing the gas pedal.

[2] My mom's car came with those bright head lamps.I don't know any other way to describe them but the light beams are close to white.
Some auto electricians say that the normal head lamps give more light than those on my mom's car while the others disagree.Who's right here?

In having a car,I've realized that every tech has an opinion on what's better and I don't have the time to compare opinions.

search they have been discussed before but
1. modern cars do not need an extended warm up period unless they are diesel, just dont bounce starter and drive once you let the oil flow tru the engine after a min or 2 you good to go
2. if you know physics and the light spectrum you will understand that with yellow street lights and rain reflecting "yellow" coloured light is easier to see
