Just heard that the weather is too cold so the next qualifying run is tomorrow at 10am.

It was in the 50's there today and probably dipped down in to the 40's this evening.. A cold track is no good for putting down big power but I'm sure he got some good data from today, so tomorrow he'll dial in the clutch and hold on tight :lol:

Things not easy up there now but Sheldon qualified for the next round with a 4.0sec @190mph. It is an eight car field.

He won the semi final with a 3.77 @192mph (new track record for that group) and went into the finals. Unfortunately he red-lighted in the final. All in all a good day racing.

Top effort by Sheldon and his team.. Like most drivers, he's probably beating himself up for going red, but it's all part of the game I guess. The bright side is they took it back home in 1 piece and they collected some data

Why 1/8 mile? Track don't have a long enough shutdown area for these cars if they run to the 1/4?

I think the track had the distance as it is an NHRA track, but I this this promotion was for 1/8 for the faster cars. It was a whole week of racing. I get more info when the team returns and let you know.
