on paper the Bugatti was suppose to win from the start, maybe the BV was not setup for those high speeds maybe the McLaren was modified or ran stickier rubber. Either way the McLaren is N/a and held its own against a quad boosted car over 10yrs more technologically advanced. Kudos to it...

i would prolly assume that the bug lost the 1/4 due to its WEIGHT factor
and hence the POWER factor would come in way after the 1/4 and carry its momentum down into the higher speeds...
whereby the f1 is im sure A LOT lighter and yes NA but easier power DELIVERY i would assume
