Most daily driving is mundane. I ok with having an electric for that and a older unreliable, modded car for the hobby.

I totally agree but I take making mundane a challenge to make an enjoyable daily driver and so far have been successful in this regard. Most times it also means getting the car efficient, more reliable and less maintenance to be done in the future with a cost savings as well.

When the coffee doesn't wake me up in the morning the adrenaline rush from some 0-100 pulls do. More importantly the sound of all cylinders! Petrolhead not Electricyhead. Unless you talking car audio if that counts

Wrangler (2.0L Turbo) - Premium
Gladiator (3.6L N/A V6) - you can use Super, even though some ppl stick with premium

The Gladiator 3.6 is nice but I saw a Colorado pulled a couple lengths on one the other day. I was caught by surprise with that one. Gladiator needs a turbo to haul that mass.

Gladiator also has the 2.0L Turbo option (same as the Wrangler), LSM brings it in with the V6 though. It may be possible to order one with the 2.0L engine, but you'd have to wait.

Agreed, I expect the STi and CTR to be priced similarly. Coming back to earth a bit, I would love to see some highway pulls with this new vic' vs say a SSS.

Nissan came back strong with the Juke, Qashqai, Rogue and Pathfinder. Those designs have improved a lot. Nissan as of late has been likeable once again.

T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

Postby agent007 » January 27th, 2022, 7:03 am

Bro, I'm going to go on a 7 seater rant now.

The Pathfinder is a special order vehicle from Smyrna, Tennesee, USA with a 2.5 months wait time. Massy does not sell much because it comes standard with a 3.5 petrol V6 so the taxes would be insane on those ($750-$795k).

It does enjoy a unique position in the market though, being the only large size non premium crossover suv with a proper 7 seater capacity. The Toyota Kluger/Highlander, Honda Pilot, Mazda CX-9, Subaru Ascent, VW Atlas, Ford Explorer, Chevy Traverse, Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride are simply not available.

Besides the Pathfinder, the only other 7 seat options would be the MB GLS, BMW X7, Audi Q7, Volvo XC90, LR RR Sport / Discovery Sport and on the smaller side, stuff like the Sorento and Santa Fe. Fortunately you can order the Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 for $950k approx.

Body on frame wise and as you would know quite well, there's the Fortuner, Prado and Everest. The Fortuner can now be special ordered with a 2.7 gas engine for just under $800k.

Our true 7 seater options are disappointing cause for large middle class families, all they have to choose from are the Rush, Ertiga/XL7 and the Xpander Cross. Its a pathetic situation since it's not that we have proper minivans available either to say that we've got more options. Even though I'm not a fan of Kia, the Carnival is a nice option to bring back as SS brought in an older model several years ago.

So if anyone is interested in buying a ridiculously spacious and powerful true 7 seat Pathfinder, there's two used ones for sale right now. 1 is on trinicars and the other is on pin.tt. The latter is a great deal considering the price.

Well same here - I could go on and on about the lack of 7 seaters.

That pin.tt pathfinder is a damn good price. Is there a catch???

For a 3.5 V6 that is under 800k the price is pretty "decent" (using that loosely) especially when you compare it to a 2.7L gas or 2.8L diesel Fortuner.

T&T OFFICIAL New Vehicle Prices & Discussion Thread

Postby agent007 » January 27th, 2022, 10:29 am

I’m trying to figure out what is wrong with it myself. There are 3 models for our region. The basic is known as Sense, the mid spec is known as Advance and the high spec is known as the Exclusive. Looking at the pics, that fella is selling the Exclusive model which has climate control seats, twin sunroofs, Bose sound system, 360 camera, 4wd, 20” wheels, leather seats, a full suite of airbags, quad zone climate control and your typical contemporary features. It’s basically a Maxima wagon on a lift.

Once the CVT is ok, it’s a good buy cause parts for that easy to source from Miami since the US has the exact vehicle with the only obvious difference being the steering placement.

The new Pathfinder with the 3.5 V6 is now a 9 speed auto, no more cvt.

Nissan locally should have a slightly different appeal when the newer models reach. The F16 Juke (which is already here), J12 Qashqai, T33 Xtrail and even the B18 Sentra all have a more elegant look compared to their outgoing counterparts. Hopefully they are all fitted with modern tech and features to suit the exterior and aren't priced ridiculously.

Would like to see the CX-50 available here. If it's around the price of the CX-5 consider that a really good option. NA 2.0, which is now a relatively high displacement motor with all the turbo lawn mowers on the market. Add to that a good ole fashioned automatic, decent looks and expected good handling.
