S Cross is not available in 4WD. Probably the S Cross may cut into the 2WD Vitara's sales if they are indeed bringing 2WD Vitaras.
I really have no idea why people buy a 2WD "SUV" when they could just buy a Wingroad, AD Wagon or Fielder for less money and the same functionality. Someone explain this to me please. Thanks.
I don't get why people buy 4wd suvs to drive on the road every day. Just adding extra maintenance for absolutely no reason. Worse gas mileage more weight more maintenance for no reason
An SUV has better ground clearance and better visibility. Better visibility increases safety in my book.
A 2wd SUV has similar maintenance costs to a car.
A 4wd SUV is unnecessary if its going to see road duty most of the time. Even with 4wd, road tyres mean very little on our clay once wet. No dispute that a 4wd requires extra maintenence.
SUVs tend to require less in the way of tyres and suspension, and larger tyres are better able to bridge potholes.

Saw a vid where a german team broke down a CX-5 after 100K km's and looked at the every part. Their conclusion was that it was built to last.

Unfortunately the new Mazda 3 we get down here from Southern Sales does not have the SkyActiv engine its using a 1.6 which seems to be very similar to the old Mazda/Ford engine that was used on the old model. However you can jump out on the 6 (approx 285,000 for base model) and get the 2L SkyActiv....

Here's the icing on the cake! The transmission isn't skyactiv as well !!!

I will believe that when I see it.
