Not worth it in my opinion. You would be better off with a Defender for less money.

Same as the sedan.
I believe it's $195K basic and $215K fully loaded.

Not 100% on those figures though

This is what I got from a KIA rep about a month ago when they first came in:
EX - $185,000 - $2,600 PER MONTH WITH 0% DOWN
SX - $210,000 - $3,100 PER MONTH WITH 0% DOWN

Despite the poor crash safety of the Cerato sedan at least Kia packs a lot of features in their cars to woo buyers. I must hand it to them, all it missing now is an option for leather and sunroof.

For those who follow the international motoring press:

2016 MotorTrend awards:
Truck of the Year: Chevrolet Colorado
Car of the Year: Chevrolet Camaro
SUV of the Year: Volvo XC90

Car And Driver 2016 10 Best List:
BMW M235i
Cadillac CTS V-Sport
Chevrolet Camaro
Ford Shelby Mustang GT350
Honda Accord
Mazda 3
Mazda MX-5 Miata
Porsche Boxster/Cayman
Tesla Model S 70/70D
Volkswagen Golf/GTI/Golf R

Maybe this should influence us in our buying decisions..

^ Most of those vehicles either not sold here or in the cost class for the average car buyer

Yes!! I had a Mazda before and switched to Toyota.. Because of the resale value nonsense. Won't make that mistake again. My last Mazda performed really well..

Since Mazda ditched their partnership with ford they back to being reliable. New skyactive engines, transmissions and design in general is really holding up. Saw a vid where a german team broke down a CX-5 after 100K km's and looked at the every part. Their conclusion was that it was built to last.

I'm assuming this applies to the new BT-50's as well..?? Even though they resemble and I think are basically the same van..I haven't heard of any issues with the Mazdas as compared to its Ranger sibling..I've even heard horror stories about McEnearny and none about SSL, which is not entirely the vehicle's fault but if you have less problems to face the dealer with..you'd probably also have less horrors stories to share..

What about buying a wildtrak from those third party dealers such as maska, Czar, M rampersad etc.. Any horror stories with them ? Know some of the vans they supply are manufactured in a different area as compared to those at the firms..

I think its always a good idea to purchase vehicles that were built in technologically advanced societies with a disciplined and skilled workforce.

You know what countries those other dealers getting their pickups from?

S Cross is not available in 4WD. Probably the S Cross may cut into the 2WD Vitara's sales if they are indeed bringing 2WD Vitaras.

I really have no idea why people buy a 2WD "SUV" when they could just buy a Wingroad, AD Wagon or Fielder for less money and the same functionality. Someone explain this to me please. Thanks.

The logic for most Trini's is raised height ... most people feel safer in a larger, higher vehicle. Better vantage point but has worse maneuverability and more likely to flip.

How dare you put AD Wagon in the same sentence as Fielder!
Take that back sir!

Not sure buddy. Some in Thailand. Some in Brazil ? May be wrong. Think the new NP300 was discussed earlier in this thread concerning country of manufacture with respect to local dealers

I don't get why people buy 4wd suvs to drive on the road every day. Just adding extra maintenance for absolutely no reason. Worse gas mileage more weight more maintenance for no reason

An SUV has better ground clearance and better visibility. Better visibility increases safety in my book.
A 2wd SUV has similar maintenance costs to a car.
A 4wd SUV is unnecessary if its going to see road duty most of the time. Even with 4wd, road tyres mean very little on our clay once wet. No dispute that a 4wd requires extra maintenence.
SUVs tend to require less in the way of tyres and suspension, and larger tyres are better able to bridge potholes.
