I'll recommend Karim to everyone. His attention to detail is on point. A cut above the rest of other detailers. I have never seen this kind of work done locally. Keep the good work up, Karim. Will see you again soon.

They can be machine or handwashed. SOme key tips for washing MFs:

1) Do not mix with other fabrics, especially those that can leave lint. (the lint may contain polyester fibres which will stick to the MF cloth, and will scratch your paint when next you use them). Wash them separately.

2) Wash with a dedicated MF cleaner. I normally use either Pinnacle MF detergent, or Griots Microfibre and Foam Pad cleaner. Both work great, but the Pinnacle smells horrible IMHO.

3) If an MF is too dirty, either dump it, or relegate it to "dirty" service, such as wheels or door jams.

Thanks as always DSM.

Before you can attack any interior stain you should try to determine its composition. Once you know what it is, you employ the relevant chemicals and technique to effectively remove it.

^^Maybe not a claybar.

Consider a strong degreaser. Try washing the glass with Quix/Dishwash liquid a few times.

If not, you'd need one of the APC type cleaners.

I've used klasse aio on my windshield with excellent results (yes I am a klasse fanboy). I cut a piece of clay about 1/4 of the bar size.....did all the glass on the car and u wouldn't believe how dirty the bar was after, even though I had just use dawn uc to clean it. Followed with aio and the water beading lasted for a long time.

Is oily residue on the inside or the outside of the windscreen ? and by chance do you know what caused the oily residue ?

Here are the products that i would recommend you use to remove the oily residue.

if that does not work, this will definitely do the job

Apply the both products with either a microfiber cloth or terry towel and let us know how it worked for you.

Almost everywhere that sells autoglym has that product. And it works well. Try Bhola's or Carplus if you're in south.
Consider using a degreaser first and then that. Must work. If not, I don't think it's just oil you got on your windscreen.

Okay. So once I get some time before the end of the week I want to go down and check out the Karcher Power washers at Hadden. Any recommendations?

Karcher are good washers. Lasting me longer than the previous Craftsman I had.

007 you tried those products on the outside? What was the result? Any help at all?
If it's actual bitumen or something and it won't come out, use a tar remover and see what happens. Surprised all products thus far haven't worked though.
