How does the Jetta at $40,000 more than the other cars in it class end up in comparison lists?
Maybe I'm just poor but if I have 200,000 to spend its highly unlikely I can reach up to $240,000+. $210,000 maybe.

Wasn't there a cheaper version of the Jetta advertised for $210,000? Same engine but some different features?

PapaC the jetta trendline is the basic model and it is coming in August. Then factor the insurance from what was being said above at a minimum of 20,000.00. It is being offered at 210,000.00 from what I was told. The differences are inside and the engine ans transmission are the same. So wit insurance your still looking at spending 230,000.00....still excellent for a turbo supercharged euro....

Agreed. The jetta somewhere in-between. Performance wise it's closer to the A4

What do you consider when judging an interior? Aside from comfort, what else you look at?

1) Ergonomics
2) Types of materials
3) Quality of materials
4) Colour scheme
5) Difficulty in cleaning

Similar vehicles that share some parts. Drive them both, choose the one you like more. I got the cerato because I liked the style more. Although I haven't had any bad experiences yet I hear southern sales isn't the best with service after the sale.

TRUE THAT!

BA (Best Auto) not BM (Bess Motors) will have available the Trendline Jetta for $210K by the end of July/ early August.

don't think so, I believe the next gen navaras and tacomas will get the cummins. The current turbo diesel V6 has been in other markets for a few years.

Don't think that applies to most. Especially those looking at the 210k model. That's over $800 a month for the first year. Over $1000 for the second.
