altho Alonso is a damn good driver, i've lost all respect for him after the whole "the team only supporting Hammie" cry baby news. I'm also a bonafied Tifosi and seeing Alonso in red nex year will see me losing interest in F1.

anyway, for Hammie to have only 3 laps of practice and get pole is simply astonishing. Looks like the other big race horses have caught up. Let's see how interesting'hectic things will get

yeah but the key is that the Mc Laren was catching up on the BRAWN's throughout the race coming to the end. they cut a lead of 6secs to 2.7 i think coming to the end of the race and mc laren was on the super soft and brawn was on the harder compund 70% through out the race

I feel Ferrari played it safe to get the points and to get a podium

Vettel i feel sorry for 2 engines in one race

In the latest round of 'Fernando Alonso to Ferrari' reports an unnamed source has revealed that the Scuderia will delay announcing the Spaniard's signing as they await news on Felipe Massa's condition.

According to rumours, Ferrari were expected to make an announcement at September's Italian Grand Prix, confirming that Alonso will be racing for them next season.

However, an unnamed source now claims Ferrari will delay the announcement as they wait to learn Massa's fate.

It is not yet known when - or even if - Massa will return to racing as the Brazilian continues his recovery after suffering head injuries during Hungarian qualifying a month ago.

"The announcement was due to be made in Monza as had been expected for some time," a source told GPWeek with regards to Alonso joining Ferrari. "However with Massa's return under question the team has been forced to delay.

"Fernando will be a Ferrari driver in 2010. The deal has been signed. The only question is his team-mate and out of respect for Felipe, Ferrari will not make the announcement until they are sure whether he will be able to return."

this is one weird season!

anyways.. :

Ferrari have reiterated their desire to have three cars instead of two per team next season - and to put Michael Schumacher in the third car.

Schumacher came close to coming out of retirement in the build-up to the Valencia GP after Ferrari announced that he would replace the injured Felipe Massa.

However, an injury of his own forced Schumacher to call off his comeback, leaving many fans as well as current drivers disappointed.

Ferrari, though, are still keen for the German to return to racing, pushing for the FIA to change the rules to allow teams to each run three cars.

"It is correct to say that, if everything is fine, why not see him (Schumacher) in one of our cars?" Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali told the Times newspaper.

"It is true we are pushing (for three cars instead of two). We feel it is for the benefit of Formula One and it is better to make sure the biggest teams have three cars because that's what people want.

"With all respect to the smaller teams, the value of Formula One is to have good drivers, great personalities, in good cars and with a great brand."

Force India is the real hero here, gaining pole then picking up their first points...teams like BMW going out the door and yonger teams filling the gap.

also watch the Lap1 into La Source (Turn1)

Kimi clearly uses the runoff area to an advantage to jump the cars in front of him.

I'm surprised he didn't get a penalty from the stewards similar to Hamilton in last year's GP.
