Doubt it. Before the tax changes last year they were actually the cheapest 3.0L euro you could buy. Not what about now, but I'd expect that they all changed by the same amount, leading to a similar situation. Then again, you rarely see people go for 3 or 3.5 models. Usually it's either 1.8/2.0 and after that it's straight to the top. Maybe the pricing in that range is different.
Bunny I also agree that the jags look great. No idea about the local reliability of the new ones. I did however have issues with simple build errors when I checked them out. Like being able to see the exhaust piping through the improperly finished fender shield. Just looks wrong. Or the showroom model having those moving vents, except that a car with 100miles on it had one not working already, for what is essentially a completely useless feature.

What about resale values locally? Maybe Jags have lower values locally than the competition?

And actually I think you can get the basic service for a Jag in south. It's the special services like every 20000km or whatever, or if something is seriously wrong, that you have to go north. And in that event they'll put it on a tow truck and carry it for you if you really don't want to make the drive.
I think Jag started with a really bad reputation for reliability/quality and it is taking quite a long time for them to break out of that idea in people's mind. It's like trying to tell someone that your Kia gave you less problems than your Toyota in it's lifetime. They'll just say you got lucky and they'll keep buying Toyota.

You sir, are just looking to create a problem.
His/her post outlines the Pros of two different vehicles.
Slartibartfast wrote:This is a stupid question but are those expensive cars worth it. What extras do you get in a Disco and Cayenne that you don't get in a fully loaded Prado or Sorento.
I'm guessing they all have the options for leather interior and trim, powered erryting, mp3/bluetooth player, dvd player, sport mode, all wheel drive etc.
What makes those other cars worth the extra 400-600k. Do they last any longer?
