The Dry Runs scheduled for Thursday 2nd April and Friday 10th April 2009 have been upgraded from an Airport exercise to a National level exercise. Simply put, everything that took place on Sunday 29th March 2009 shall occur on these days.

See Pg.1 for traffic plan.

norstar2k,
how likely is the "dry run" on 2nd April to finish on time? 12p
worse case scenario, what time will it be completed?

So far they have had late starts, but tend to finish on-time. :)

Would the closure of the west bound lane affect traffic heading north through intersections such as Kay Donna, UWI, Pasea?

i am guessing that traffic would be allowed across in a controlled manner?

You're gonna have to play this one tight. Just notify the officer at the first checkpoint. You know those ppl who like to park on the outskirts of the airport while waiting? That done. The public car park will be open, so park 'n' wait......for $5.

BTW, "valid ticket"? Most airlines like CAL are now paperless using an eTicket instead. :)

thanks for the info,
some airlines still give you a print out, not really a ticket, just with your reference # and itinerary.

Is the dry run scheduled for tomorrow April 2nd still a national level exercise, after the townhall meeting last night? Didn't see anything in the papers or hear any official announcement about the meeting or the dry run being upgraded to a national level.

^ because the dry-run has nothing to do with the ACTUAL summit itself... it's more of a "backstage/rehearsal" kinda thing, if you want to put it that way.

The Summit website is the worst place to look for updates. I have written the Secretariat to complain about this.

I hope the powers that be are looking at the G20 Economic Summit highlights in the UK on BBC with all the anti-summit protesters.
