What I do know, all pickups going up in price. Navara 4x4 auto dual cab with leather might be $300k now. A loaded Hilux could cost $350k. The 3.2 Ranger/BT-50 could hit $360k range. Those Porsche, MB, BMW and Land Rover SUV's will spike up as well.
RBC smell the rat and offering 7 year loan periods now. Just now we'll see 8 years normal.

I agree the dealerships will find a way to increase prices by using this duty change.
I am looking forward to the new Audi A3 sedan maybe a 1.4tfsi or 1.8tfsi heck I'll may even splurge on the 2.0tdi.
Anybody have any news on when this will be available, might be the last vehicle I purchase for a long time.

For example the 1.4 diesel accent vs the 1.4 gas
DJ Q wrote:But 200cc doesn't explain the $30,000 difference
Are the diesel rates higher?

You should look into the purpose built CNG vehicles from factory. Their performance not soo bad.

Does it really make sense to spend extra on a diesel vehicle upfront? How much driving would you have to do for the price difference between that and a 2.0tsi to be justified?

My reasoning for the diesel atm I spend just about $500 a week on fuel (premium) for my A4, I recently put my hands on a 2013 Hyundai Tuscon Diesel 4x4 and I am impressed, its no Audi but its fuel consumption, diesel as we all know provides better mpgs but it cut my fuel bill from $500 to $70 same amount of driving and same driving style.
Its just about variety and I wont mind a diesel option already have petrol, trying something different.

1.8 or 2.0 tfsi? $500 a week with aggressive driving sounds like 1.8t. Usually I compare apples to apples as much as possible. Is the Tucson turbo diesel? Anyways are you planning to sell the a4 then buy the Tucson?
