didn't hear the ad; did they mention the mileage limit?
I know in the U.S. they used to have (probably still do) a 4 year/ 50,000 mile maintenance free program, and you could have even paid a bit extra for an extended warranty for up to 100,000 miles (or at least so I think). Over there it covered routine inspections, engine oil, brake fluid, and even consumables like wiper blades, brake disc and pads.

the bmw ad was also on the newspaper.

I called the north office and a salesgirl said yes , but it is only for the month of may and on select models which are all reserved already.

you can still call to verify.

I'm not going to pretend like I could have afforded it. If indeed it was a "free" 5 year/75k full warranty, that imo was a good deal and justifies the cost of the car (if it was still 350k as stated in the beginning of the thread).

Cause I'm seeing one for sale RORO for 1 Million TT and I'm assuming that price includes VAT and MVT.
I'm also certain Massey would sell it for 2.5 Million though

To sell GTRs a Nissan dealership has to specifically outfitted to service them. This means special tools, service bay and trained technicians ... all this requires serious investment and Nissan will inspect your facility to make sure it is up to standards for servicing this vehicle. This is why not all Nissan dealerships in the US have opted to sell the GTR. Also think of that kind of investment against the volume of sales and you'll see that it may not be that attractive for N&M.

orrrrrrrrrrrr ok I understand now. Thanks man

Nothing major, the hoodlight switch thing broke and I noticed a few rusting screws, called my sales agent last night and she offered me to come in with the van and they will take care of it.

And everyone stares when you drive this thing :/

Had my hilux almost 3 months now, looks and works the same way when it drove out the show room. Doing 6000 km now I drive it everyday no issues.

I worried about the resale value for that sonic.....if they will continue to bring it, in the years to come. Some of these new models, the dealerships just testing the waters, if it not selling very well, it could disappear altogether. Lifestyle motors famous for that

It is sad that we now getting the Sonic though. Probably after world demand has dropped since it first came out they can now get around to dishing it out to peons like us.

For real eh and that chevy brand lil iffy too...to be honest that 140-160 k segment of the market might be getting a lil crowded for some of those lesser known/newer brands in the market...either way the consumer benefits i think...unless of course they stop bringing parts and what not...then u left w/ a car u can't sell and can't fix... :(

If yall think things bad yall should see the prices of vehicles in Singapore. Honda accord 2.4 litre is US $130,000.00 or approx TT $838,000.00 for example. Nissan Versa that people laugh at here costs more than TT $500,000 and ting

Can't really tell if the youtube link above working right now so you can check the article and see the youtube video in it yourself.

The Chevrolet line-up of vehicles were on show at MT over the weekend.

I must admit, brands like Chevrolet, Ford, Skoda, Volkswagen, Fiat, Hyundai and Kia have their work cut out. They don't have Toyota resale value and they don't have Bamboo support for parts/accessories but each one are making in-roads into the T&T market like never before.

People complained about the Ford Escorts and Lasers as well as the 1st gen Focus. We also complained about the first Octavia's and Bora's. We bashed the Joy, Corsa and Monza and even the previous editions of the Elantra and Kia Spectra/Sephia.

Look at them today! I am very proud of their determination to improve their product offerings so much so that the Elantra, Jetta and Cruze are selling very well even the Focus!

Having said that, I checked out the 2013 Chevrolet Sonic 1.6 and noted the following features:

-1.6 DOHC 16V ECOTEC DCVCP motor with intake and exhaust cam phasing
(the most powerful sub-compact sedan in T&T market and the 2nd most powerful sub-compact on a whole locally after the new 2nd gen Suzuki Swift Sport)
-6 speed tiptronic transmission (maybe the only one in its class locally to have this)
-dual front and side airbags
-ABS with EBS and EBA
-15" alloy rims with 5-lug wheels (this is a shocker to see 5-lug nuts just like the Swift Sport)
-fog lights
-multifunction steering wheel with audio and cruise controls
-full digital speedo (as in Civic, S2000, RX-8)
-AM/FM/CD/MP3 6-seaker stereo with 3.5mm aux-in and USB ports
-front sunvisors with dual vanity mirrors
-deluxe fabric seats
-fully powered
-includes tint/mats/alarm

not a bad price at all.
