That's right everything from the previous model plus what I put and some others I forgot.

Awaiting the 2013 octavia (which I've been reliably informed should also be about 200K).
Then I can see who is really the best bang for buck compact sedan.

Was told Toyota no longer has any 3.0 manual 4x2 (pre-runner). They only have 2.5l in stock in the manual.

4x2 Manual 2.5l = $198,000
4x4 Manual 2.5l = $232,000
4x4 Manual 3.0l = $245,000

I wanted to have a look at the Navara but a few people have told me the ones are having a lot of trouble. Can anyone provide some feedback? Any Navara owners out there can provide a first hand account?

Have my Navara 3 years and counting... absolutely no trouble whatsoever. Just maintain your unit properly and you will have no issues.

As far as performance and comfort, the Navara is the best bet. Also N&M have some good discounts running.

Manual cars usually cost more because they sell less.

Which means they have to stock parts for cars that don't sell as much.

Manual transmissions are swiftly becoming a thing of the past for most vehicles unfortunately for those who like manuals. Even the majority of super/sports/race cars coming with some variation of an automatic or tiptronic transmission so I guess its just market forces and techonological evolution at work...@Allergic the amount of options available and soon to be available on the market is really good for competition and for consumers...except for the lovers of manuals of course...but if you have deep pockets im sure that can be fixed :) :) :?

Was talking about the move to turbocharged engines coupled with small displacement. Your basically getting 2.5 litre performance from engines that are 1.4 to 1.6 litres in displacement so you avoid engine tax. 5 years ago I would never have expected that.

Plus if you are into gadgets you can get that too. Ok so you are a purist but you ain't racing 24/7. Things like Bluetooth, touchscreens, more than two airbags, self drying brakes, adaptive cruise control, gearboxes that shift faster than a manual gearbox, improved fuel economy plus a sheitload of other features must satisfy a larger group of people than a vehicle of say 5 years ago. The cool thing is even if your vehicle didn't come with them a lot of features are computer controlled so you can turn on/off features you don't like without having to go to your stealership.

The manual transmission Hyundai Coupe that I bought in 2006 from N&M was about $10k cheaper than the automatic transmission one. That was the only difference in the cars, the transmission. All other features were the same.

Manual cars should be cheaper though and usually are in other countries. You can blame your fellow drivers though for the lack of manuals. Level fellas be not even going for manual test for their DP.

LOL just saw a 5th Gear episode on Youtube about the Ford focus ... the 1.0L turbo, 3 cylinder engine can beat the 1.6L non turbo that we get here.

Apparently it won euro engine of the year for 2012 ... Same award that the 1.4 TSI on the jetta won a few years back

Hey Allergic your jetta has the 1.4 badge next the tsi on your car? You put that there or it came with the car?
Mine just has a TSI
