Don't take it out of context.
I compared a $1,500 deck and speakers to the stock system of those cars.
The system in the Mazda 3 so far is the best I've heard in a stock econo car. Comparing it to a car double the price (i.e. the Optima) isn't fair.
The cars I've heard:
Mitsubishi Lancer
Daihatsu Sirion
Mazda BT-50
Ford Ranger
Great Wall Wingle
Mitsubishi ASX
Suzuki Grand Vitara
Hyundai Elantra
Nissan Navara
Toyota Fielder (roro)
Mazda 3
Personally, out of that list, the Mazda is the best.
Let me rephrase for you then:
"For a stock sound system, the mazda 3 is rather good."
Hope you see my point now

Even from a cell phone plugged into the AUX the sound is amazing. CDs you also get a good sound but nothing to talk about and the radio quality isn't better than the CDQ but it's still good and DEFINATELY worth more than 1500. That figure is just reaching

That actually makes no sense whatsoever actually.
No matter the input device it's still being driven into the internal dacs/amplifier so given the bit rates are similar it's like saying by drinking Gatorade my piss is different from if I drank water, gettit?

Actually, he's right. However my experience was slightly different.
If I play a song on my phone through the AUX, it isn't all that great, but play the same song via the USB, it's a much better experience... no idea why.

They scrapped that plan so long, Messy Sales And Services Co.

I wasn't talking about the volume. I was talking about the actual quality of the sound.
Wasn't my car and that was a while ago so... I can't really comment further.
The system was good enough for me
