This Audi was fully detailed using the finest Meguiars products from the Professional Line.

Meg's selection- M105, M205, #7 Showcar glaze topped with #26 wax. The results was a warm deep shine!

Aaron I agree about the CG stuff. Most of it is pretty good. Haven't tried everything yet though.

Cadence. Nice A4 work there. Have one question though.. why was the glaze still necessary after the 205? And how much difference did it make?

Did me an audi recently too. Older A6. This vehicle took quite long. Swirly, tree sap stuck on, some oxidation, rough paint... Hadn't been touched for more than 3yrs. Outdoor parking under trees.
Result :

Was more of a resurrection than simple work. :)

Also did over this one recently. I think it's a pretty nice finish, but I don't expect the coatings to last very long. But it looks great for the while. What you guys think?

Looks good. CG again? Or you went back AG?
What correction and finishing polishes you used?

Firstly nice work nemesis...The purpose of the #7 (Glaze) was mainly due to my paint assessment after an IPA wipe down (in terms of depth). Also, due to the sanding work, the additional polishing oils #7 contains really prepped the paint nicely before waxing. The difference was really noticable especially on that A4 colour.

Aaron, that Benz looks awesome..the detailer did an excellent job from the pics you posted.

Cool. I like the look of more oil too. Many of my favorite products thus far have been oily. But then that makes them a little more difficult to work with too. I guess it's just about preference in the end though.
Just would be concerned if it would reduce the durability of the wax. But it definitely looks good. I guess it wouldn't be much of an issue with two products from the same brand. They should be made to work well together.
Would like to see your work irl one day though. Sounds like you've been at it a while.

Anyone here into trading samples for testing of products? Either blind testing or specific trades? Considering doing it.

Hello All,

Cadance, what are your thoughts on Mirror Glaze Synthetic Sealant 2.0 as compared to #7 Showcar glaze topped with #26 wax?

Well. I eh know about gloss and wet leather too much. In my experience the Mother's has too much of both for me.
In which case, stay away from Lexol and Griot's. Those are the ones I use.

proline : Why are you seeking out the turtle wax with such fervor? Maybe just try something else. Unless you seriously have a reason.

If you apply any leather product in a couple layers it will be glossy. I think that's what he needs to do to achieve his desired look. I prefer the matte look so I apply mine, let it soak in a bit then buff off the excess.

Always ensure u use a cleaner before conditioner, otherwise u trap all the dirt and oils under the new layer of product

So this is where the thread disappear to.

What and how much of whatever you need to buff a newly painted vehicle? I know there is a micro fine polish or something Autoglym makes, or should I use the super resin? How much will I need?

That depends totally on the condition the painter left it in. NORMALLY you can use something like 3500+ and you'll be fine. However, I've seen some that required some serious work after leaving a painter.

Also you need to wait like a month before you can really start coating it so I wouldn't recommend SRP if it was recently painted anyway.

When they paint and clear coat they dont buff right away? I will ask him what he uses, I prefer buy my own stuff and carry it.

They will sand and refine the finish. But won't put any serious sealers or anything. Sometimes they even get the refining wrong. Buying your own stuff and carrying won't help if their process is wrong from the start.
I'd say just take back your car, wait a few weeks, then do it yourself. Or hire someone that specifically does finishing if you don't have the time nor want to do it yourself.
