Keeping things cool..

CX Racing oil cooler and intercooler with 3" in and out, Champion racing 3 core radiator all fitted in the factory shroud. A very tight fit!!
Will need to fit the air con condenser somewhere else. Have some ideas.

Thanks guys. Installed the cooling system today. Didn't get to take pics as it was dark when I finished.. Here are a couple pics of it right before I dropped it in

As you can see it's all built into the stock air dam. So you can remove the rad, oil cooler and intercooler together and by removing 4 bolts. Pretty useful for working on the engine (god forbid)

ImageUploadedByTriniTuner1411434134.183357.jpg

And also got the rotary works intake charge pipe
ImageUploadedByTriniTuner1411434183.898735.jpg

Here you can see how tight the outlets for the oil cooler are. Inlet will be a tight 90* and the oil let will go below the corner of the rad which is cut perfectly for the line to pass.

I'm pleased how it's coming along. Hopefully get the engine in the car very soon.

Can't decide of I want to chrome the fan shroud like it was/is or sand blast and paint it black. Was really going for a stealth blacked out engine and pipes etc. But think I'm getting lured into setups like this (face palm)

Forgot about this thread :)

Car has been by Stephen Rotary Works getting the engine installed/wired, but we looking good. Excellent rebuild and install so far. Lots of detailed custom work. Glad to get this done by someone who has done this a few times and knows his way around a rota.

This was last week. Going again. Will post some more updates as we go.

Also got these ugly wheels :D
ImageUploadedByTriniTuner1416612566.476437.jpg

I am the keep back at the moment. Have some parts to drop by Stephen and my frigging gas tank... Sent it to repair 3 weeks ago... Man now say he can't fix... Taking it by Trinidad radiator works Monday I guess. (And ordering por 15 restore kit as a backup)

I hoping as I said to drive the car for Xmas. Hopefully get a tank before that!!!

Well I didn't want to post until I had something significant to update. So here we go. First start up.

Thanks to Stephen Jagdeo and his son Stephon for all the help today getting it started and amazing work along the way. More in another post about parts etc.

Finally got a chance to upload the video in HD of getting her started yesterday.. turned out to be small adjustment to the crank/ignition settings in the Haltech... followed by a small oil leak from the filter/pedestal.. Thanks again to Stevens Rotary Works, engine sounds tough, lots of compression and is revving crisp. Lots more to come soon. We on the home straight now :)

Looking for tires has been harder than I thought.. No one seems to stock 255 or 275 high performance (100-200 AA A) 17" tires ...

ImageUploadedByTriniTuner1424822653.814464.jpg

Glad (and kind of shocked) to say, 32 years later, all the dash gauges, rear hatch lock & fuel release switches, headlights and everything else all just works...

Tires, get an exhaust muffler (prob sorted already by mechanic), and redrill the rear axles... That's it... Next update will be a vid of the car driving
