Picked up some other items for when the car comes back home, replacement fender liners, upgraded stabalizer bars, 30mm rear and 25mm front, the rear has beefy endlinks as well. Lastly I also picked up a Nismo bonnet lip, i had one but it was bent out of shape and this one is a little better condition. A couple of snaps,

Cleaned the gunk from the underside, some old doublesided tape, I used gas and a wirebrush.
Image
Lastly, fender shields/liners, also includes the brake rotor cooling ducts that takes air from the front of the bumper via the two lower vents on the lower front lip.

More to come in time when funds permit but on Monday I will be picking up something tasty ;). Will also get pics of the Abflug rear carbon diffuser at some point.

Those Heim endlinks look alot like my progress ones. Swaybars = best suspension upgrade for ROI

Decided to fit the intake manifold for now as I am getting the feeling that I will be removing it to paint in the wrinkle black once installed. So here it is for now, still have to fit the silicone hoses below and the oil filter relocator setup and a couple other parts but you get the idea. I also cleaned up the inside of the ITB's with lacquer thinners, came out very well, did not clean it thoroughly as there needs to be a thin film where the throttle plat meets the Inner diameter of the throttle to allow it to seal properly and idle spot on.

Actually I have access to a 3.0L block but not right now. Maybe later on down the road, I can get a 2.8 head and block but don't want to buy cat in bag and besides for the extra .2L I can save that towards other things at this point. Hopefully the car stays together for the next couple of years then I will tackle an RB30 build using the same head and a bigger turbo and well then my problem will be a gearbox.

Anyway, fitted the Tomei Fuel rail and Nismo/Sard/Denso 700CC injectors. I lubed the injector O-rings and fitted them to the injector holes and then fitted the injectors and rail and fitted the rail collars and torqued it down.

i still find the 2.8L setup is best for smooth quick response and decent power. No need for for over 600hp on the road.

Hopefully with the cams and porting my response should be alright. Well good thing I was thinking things over when I came back inside. I found that the fuel rail was sitting a bit high as the injectors were not fitting flush inside the O-rings. I just went back out and realised the collar that I got machined a while back was a little bigger than the other, the outer diameter that is. I got out the trusty dremel and fixed that and now the injectors sit flush with the O-rings :D. Would have made a mess when the engine fired up.

The more I see the intake manifold the more I don't like the colour, will strip it and try the wrinkle black on it.

the metalcast paint needs a bright metallic silver as a base to give you the look . ive used it before and it just doesnt look good if you use primer or bare metal

Yeah getting the sparkling silver today as a base then I may look at spraying the smoked effect on it and see what happens. If no go then wrinkle black it is. Gonna use the sparkling silver on the other parts to freshen up and then need to send off some brackets to get powder coated.

Does anyone know where I can send nuts, bolts and washers to restore them or whether there is a solution to dip them in to bring them back like new? Either that or I may just buy some new bolts and nuts for the job as the little things like nuts and bolt heads make such a big difference on the engine.

IIRC there was a place behind MIC in Macoya that did chrome plating - one of the steps was to dip it in a solution before 'chroming'- might be close to what you're looking for wrt re-conditioning bolts and washers...

Alright back on track, these wheels are 18X10.5 +12mm, mine currently are 18X9.5 +12mm. I will need to add a 1" spacer to make up the proper offset, will get the proper spacers with the added studs and I already have Nismo extended studs as well. I want the wheels to be fitted exactly like this. The good thing with having narrower wheels is that the inside of the wheels does not touch when on full lock.

I don't know which ones are N1, I thought the N1 were picture in the pic above. The ones I have are the projector type ones, I like them more but these other lights are growing on me as well. Was actually trying to get my hands on a set of Tomei tailights locally but now the guy is not wanting to sell anymore. Small thing as they were not so much to my liking.

Hahah yeah I buy from that guy. Dino Berkis. I missed the silkroad headlight induction

Yes the N1s are the ones in the GTR pictured. I can't find the bonnet lip either so going with an ebay replica. Do you have any links on a good set of LED tails? quietly working on as GTS-T sheep in wolf's clothing

Ahhh was wondering what you were up to, you got the S14 still? The bonnet lip is getting harder to get, as for tailights nothing yet but I will be after a set but not the altezza style ones but something like a nismo one, may just get an oem set and set the leds inside and do my own thing with some resistors. Will throw up a DIY after on it.

I sold the S14 and the evo and got an SUV for 'the everyday. The GTS will be fun. I knew my limits and the 26 was more than I could've dealt with on a stress/budget level. You're such a capable DIY guy but why reinvent the wheel, consider getting these and save that time for other stuff.

I am liking the last engine bay pic, simple with carbon bits :D.

The reason I don't like thise tailights are that they look too new/modern for the R32, I prefer them look stock and then when pressed they show up like the nismo ones. I will be looking at doing something like this, the R32 ad R32 should be easy peasy unlike the R34.

Those bays just scream awesome. What they did on the 400r , beautiful for factory work.
I'm sure you wouldn't mind the VCam in #4.
