Guys is it OK to put the DP poli-seal this weekend...well tomorrow and follow it with the collinite 845 next weekend?

Time has ran out on me

Or should I start over with the poli-seal?

I noticed when I wipe off wax or anything the paint develops an electrostatic charge, I can feel the hair on my arms being pulled towards the paint.

I'm using Zwipes microfiber towels

What's happening here?

Thanks. Took me quite a while. You should have seen it the day after when all the coatings were in top form. :) Pictures actually don't work sometimes. Not being too vain there, but I was even impressed with the finish those products gave.

Pioneer : Don't need to re-do the Poli-seal UNLESS you got some serious damage to your finish this week. Just make sure you're absolutely clean before wax. No tar, or residual spots from washing off bird droppings etc. If you do have anything stuck on the paint I'd advise an ultra-fine clay that won't remove your existing work, or just re-do areas by hand if you can.

Cinco : If you find someone who gives service there let me know. Tried twice and gave up.

TRDGuy : Extra gloss protection is the best way for a finish with good durability and shine. Easier work than HDWax also. And Carplus sells both normally. They tend to run out of the HDWax quickly as they don't bring a lot of stock though. If you want the absolute easiest wax to use, they do have the Surf City Barrier Reef. Beading isn't particularly good, nor is durability from what I've tried, but it's so easy to use you can put a coat every two weeks and be happy with that. Use the paste, not the liquid. The liquid didn't impress me in any category at all.
Another option I tend to recommend is SRP-EGP-Aqua Wax. Aqua wax is easy to apply after washing, is easily the best product of it's kind that I've tried, and it holds up pretty well for what it is. Not the longest lasting, but it's spray on, and the finish is quite good for it. I myself use this combination on some people's cars that don't want me to take as long, but that I can access relatively often.

Not sure why you're holding charge. I'd be inclined to think it's the cloths that you're using. But it may be the products since some of the newer synthetics actually specify static free on the bottles. That may contribute to the dust.. also some of the oily products tend to hold any dust that passes it.

Any of you guys have any experience with Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax vs Gold Class Shampoo?

Is one better than the other? Looking for something for a weekly/general purpose car washing

Oh yeah I needed to get this off my chest. If you are looking to paint your car or do ANY type of body work on it, DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go by a man who goes by the name "doc" in St. Michaels Road, Tacariqua.

He WILL fcuk your paint over, chitty workmanship (puts paint in places it shouldn't be - door rubbers, mouldings, trim and windows etc), clearly doesn't prep the surface properly - "fish eyes" and bubbles will appear everywhere with the paint eventually flaking off in those area. Doesn't know that paint should be flat and uniformed, instead your paint will end up in waves and look very uneven. Also leaves orange peel everywhere.

cinco, Who did that paint boy? :o Looking very nice.

neexis, I've been useing the gold class for about 5 years now. It's a good car shampoo for a weekly/general purpose car washing.

I would suggest try both and see which one suits you and your paint.

neexis : Have used the Gold Class quite a bit and it will work fine for maintenance washes. Also goes reasonably well with foam guns. It's not the most concentrated on the market, but the price and ease of acquisition make it a good call.
As for the Wash and Wax. I've not used the Meguiar's version, but I would say that if it does have real wax in it, and you have a wax on your vehicle that's prone to hazing if layered or if it gets too much moisture while warm etc, then don't use the wash and wax in that case. Will cause streaking, hazing, all kinds of stuff. Only one way to know though. I actually use this to test if a wash and wax actually has anything in it to add to the finish. :) Put on a very sensitive wax, then foam with the wash and wax, leave a few mins, rinse off and blow dry and see if it streaks badly.

Oh yeah items were also stolen from the engine bay, ie expensive battery terminal covers.

Also he drained my radiator and put in water and never chose to mention that to me.
