If Lotus Wins An F1 Race, What National Anthem Gets Played?
When a driver wins an F1 race, the national anthem of the team's country and the driver's country is played during the podium ceremony. So what anthem's played if Lotus Racing wins a race? God Save The Queen? Nope.
Despite Lotus being based in the UK, it's actually owned by Malaysian auto maker Proton. Secondly, the Formula 1 team is backed by Malaysian companies. Thus, the national anthem of Malaysia, Negaraku, will be played. Good to know

According to a rumor published by a Spanish news outlet, US F1 won't make the first three races of 2010, forcing them to drop the entire season. Also, YouTube founder Chad Hurley's supposedly out as a financial backer. U-S-aww, crap.
The evidence suggesting the USF1 American-backed Formula One effort will succeed is now almost completely outweighed by evidence and chatter suggesting it's doomed, including YouTube founder Chad Hurley and business manager Brian Bonner reportedly walking away from the organization.
What makes us think USF1 could still be alive? They've yet to indicate the shop is closing. What do we have to indicate USF1 is folding?
* The last major announcement USF1 made was of the acquisition of driver Jose Maria Lopez, but that's still only one driver. They need two.
* They're the only team (other than the on-the-rocks Campos Meta) not to debut their car.
* Chad Hurley, YouTube founder and CEO, has possibly left the team in support of another struggling F1 effort. A source tells us he's also dropped a reference to USF1 from his Twitter bio.
* They don't have a test schedule and the first race is less than one month away.
* There's a rumor they won't make the first three races, which means they're out for this year.
* Brian Bonner, the head of business development for USF1, is reportedly no longer working there.
* The USF1 building is for sale, though they're just tenants there along with Robby Gordon Motorsports.
It's completely possible this is all just one big happy coincidence and the U.S. will soon be storming F1. It's also possible Max Mosley was meeting with those girls dressed like prison guards because he was hoping to get them to turn their lives around and start taking computer classes. Possible, not plausible.
lol i just love when the US fail at stuff![]()

India's Karun Chandhok is set to make his Formula 1 debut with the new Campos team this year, BBC Sport has learned.
The 26-year-old is understood to have secured his drive, and the deal will be announced imminently, sources say.
Chandhok, who raced in the GP2 feeder category last year, is expected to be partnered by Brazilian Bruno Senna.
The nephew of the late F1 legend Ayrton Senna signed for Campos last year and his manager has dismissed speculation that he could lose his seat.
Campos team boss Colin Kolles refused to confirm Senna's position when contacted by BBC Sport on Thursday, saying only that the team's driver line-up would be announced "soon".
But Senna's manager Chris Goodwin told BBC Sport: "There's no reason to think Bruno won't be part of it. It's clear as far as we're concerned. He signed a contract in October and he'll be in the car this season."
Chandhok, who has won two GP2 races in three years in the category, will be the second Indian driver to compete in F1 after Narain Karthikeyan took part in 19 races for Jordan in 2005.
His presence will be a fillip for F1 with an Indian Grand Prix expected to make its debut on the calendar in 2011.
Chandhok was Senna's team-mate in the iSport team in 2008, when the Brazilian narrowly missed out on winning the GP2 championship.
Kolles has insisted that Campos will be in Bahrain for the first race of the season on 14 March after a winter of uncertainty over their funding.
A management reshuffle earlier this month saw co-founder Jose Ramon Carabante take 100% ownership of the team and his partner Adrian Campos replaced as team principal by Kolles.
Senna was announced as a driver last year but there has been speculation that the team could instead take the Argentine Jose Maria Lopez.
Lopez has signed for fellow new team US F1, but they look almost certain not to race this year and his reputed £5.2m of sponsorship could be attractive for Campos.
But if Senna is retained as a race driver, there could still be room for Lopez in the test and reserve role.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG has the best possible credentials for this demanding role in the top flight of motor racing: its 6.3-litre V8 engine has a peak output of 420 kW (571 hp) and a maximum torque of 650 Nm, enabling the gullwing model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Fast lap times are a must for the Official F1TM Safety Car, otherwise the Formula-1 cars' tyres and brakes would cool down too quickly, while their engines could overheat.

Lewis Hamilton will no longer be managed by his father Anthony as the two look to build a closer family bond away from the rigours of Formula 1.
Anthony has overseen Lewis' career since he was eight years old, and was an instrumental figure in guiding the 25-year-old into F1 and the 2008 title.
But with Anthony's own business interests growing, the Hamiltons have decided to part ways professionally.
