Piarco Airport went from 'hot' to a 'ghost town' :)

Traffic still heavy along the Eastern Main Road.

Highways to open up Sat-Sun 8:00am-6:00am, as all Heads-of-State and Delegates are in (subject to change).

The Airport is to remain under 'controlled access restrictions' effective immediately until 6:00am 20th. (subject to change).

That said, the security forces paid little attention to the on infamous Accreditation Passes, Individual Access Passes and Vehicle Access Passes, partly due to the failure of the Secretariat meet demand/supply.

I didn't see and search and seizure exercises either. (Police do 'rub down' people late last night.)

Went to the airport last night.......no sign of police or any roadblocks from couva straight to piarco.....
It just had a few police at the round about in piarco
And i thought the air port would be locked down......everything was normal, no traffic at all

As was said in previous posts, there was no 'lock down' of the North terminal. As for roadblocks (checkpoints); there were a couple manned checkpoints still in place on the southern side of the roundabout (near TTPost and CAL) today at 10am. No pass, no access.
