Yup...it's just everything u wud want ie very practical. Men might say is small power but BMW power delivery just seem unreal to some.

Tesla model S pretty luxurious too Dave! (Interior pics below)
And you can't top that instantaneous torque from it either. The model S would leave the BMW a few car lengths. Especially if it's the P90D in ludicrous mode.
Bmw may win with engine sound (3 cylinder 1.5) and driving dynamics compared to the model S tho.

I wouldn't say the i8 very practical.
Unless u think a 2 door coupe with tiny boot space and doors that open upwards and outwards. And probably one cup holder.
Don't think practicality was what bmw was going for here.
Perfect everyday sports car maybe. Power to keep up with a stock Evo at least with the fuel economy better than a Prius.

^ I was looking at it from the perspective of powertrain versatility...am assuming that the tesla is solely electric while the i8 utilizes both electric and gas giving the driver added comfort of not being fuel less.

That has to be the first time I have ever seen the word 'practicality' being used in that way in the auto world. :?
You have a point. Regardless though, both have similar ranges if im not mistaken. Around 400km on a full tank/charge. So don't think being solely electric is that much of an issue.

Yep point taken on the practicality...lol Its just fear of battery dieing.. But an interesting point would be...at what rate does the battery degrade and it's impact on range.
