That’s my signature on the estimate, this particular customer has a fully loaded Cerato HIDs full works, I can feel it for him due to the situation go to enjoy the game and come back to a vandalized vehicle but he’s going to require more things when they get into the repair they actually ripped out his bumper and whoever took the headlamps definitely did damage to the brackets of the lamps.

So a regular pair of headlights (minus the damaged brackets) would cost less?

As the person who signed that estmate, do you think thats a fair price?kg494EJ-1 wrote:Monk BANzai wrote:meanwhile...

Come on...Even if he thinks it’s unfair, do you really think he’ll say something negative about his employer? Would you say something negative about your employer?
I'm not sure, but as someone who has retrofitted HIDs before... And seen some headlight housings... It isn't difficult to convert the housings if they are similaragent007 wrote:Kamakazi, is the ballast integrated into the head lamp assembly or is it separate? I'm thinking the owner can simply buy the regular non HID headlamps to reduce cost and then upgrade to LEDs which is presumably better than HIDs.

HIDs are integrated normal lamps are far cheaper
Price for the lamp one reason lamps were air freighted and there is a special cost due to the bulb type (gas in the bulb)
In addition the customer would receive a discount on the part as Spann stated and in addition due to his insurance company his discount would be greater that 25%
We are not all a part of stealerships mentality in my case I try to work with customers. I can’t control the Cost price but I can try to assist to closer fit you pocket .
If you look back you would see where I let my opinions known I don’t keep them a secret but now that I work in the industry I now have a better understanding you won’t believe the taxes we have to pay on some of these items.
