I havent seen the RAV4 boot to compare it with the Tiguan but to me paying +$300,000 for a Toyota mid size SUV puts me in euro territory. I guess whatcar.com is biased to euros but so am I. A euro just always has those little features and accessories that a techie like me wants, plus Toyotas are the most bland of JDMs.

What branch are you at? How is KIA's after sales service though? As far as servicing.
My gf is probably going to sell her ASX to her cousin to get a sedan (I don't know why, I think its a backward step IMO). She was looking at the new Corollas but the Cerato is 30 k less and was one of the few cars she saw on the road and liked, so that also looks like an option. She won't be ready to buy until early 2012 though.
Thanks for the updated prices!

The ASX went from $249,000.00 to:
$280K - 2WD 2.0L Fabric
$292K - 2WD 2.0L Leather

The sportage is sold out until next yearshe said that the current rio is 130k an the new ones will be 150k, it will be a hatchback with a similar body to the sportage, she even showed me a pic from her phone, it's like a baby sportage
I'll can't get over the fact that it's a rio though. The cerato is beautiful, you can fit 10 dead bodies comfortably in the trunk.

i just came from by the showroom and they told me those prices.the only good thing is if you are going with the ansa merchant bank financing otherwise that is a big jump!the leather asx is really sweet on the inside especially the retractable screen on the roof but the trunk is a bit small although you get a full spare which is in a mold which can be removed to give more room

The MVT is the second killer - Ex. The 'mid-spec' CRV 2.0L is $375K and the 'fully loaded' CRV 2.4L is $406K!! A difference of $31K!! Why??!!
Subcompact SUVs have crossed the $300K line, and quite a few subcompact cars have hopped over the $200K line with relate ease!
This isn't KFC folks, we've comfortably accepted 'stealth' increases in the 2/3-pc combos for years. We're talking $300,000.00 dollars for vehicles that still aren't fully loaded - all this crap about basic, mid-spec and hi-spec/fully loaded? Even the fully loaded missing features. Imagine handing over a cheque for $349K and you've just bought yourself a 'basic' model? WTH?!
I think I'm going to agree with acesinghit, and pull my 'FOR SALE' sign on my SGV and wait and see what 2012 brings! Cuz I don't like what I'm seeing now.
