The fully loaded Elantra has an equipment listing so long it can shame even more expensive mid size sedans and crossovers. I'm impressed, I think the last known price of that one was 245k. In contrast, the loaded turbo civic we get is 275k but you do get an electronic handbrake and an additional 40+ hp and 60+ Nm of torque. But the civic iirc lacks mud guards, 17"+ rims, front and rear parking sensors, bsm with rcta, power drivers seat, ventilated seats and welcome lighting system. If the additional $30k with a little less equipment is a good trade off for driving a Honda which would give you better resale and it's quicker by far then that's up to you. Then there is the 1.6 version for 244k which is not worth it imo. That 1.6 motor traces its roots to 2005. Sure Honda ditched the 5AT for a CVT and ditched the timing belt in favour of a chain but it's still a dated sohc 16v design. Mazda 3 I must admit is still a fairly good looking car and it appears to be generally reliable and the fully equipped model (although basic compared to international variants) is cheaper than the others. That underpowered 1.6 traces itself back to the first gen model launched 13+ yrs ago. Either you go cheaper and embrace SS or head Massy or Ansa.

Nope. Last I heard right here was 365k or so for the 1.5 turbo Fusion. That's almost Mazda 6 2.5 territory but maybe with the MVT increase the 2.5 probably skyrocket from that 371k tag. Heard the 2.0 can be had for as low as 300k so there is your clear choice. I am yet to see a fusion on the road so if price is not an issue for mr cipriani then the fusion is not a bad choice. Has plenty equipment and descent enuf performance for the price.

The 2.0l was going for $278,000 earlier this year, the 2.5l was $335,000 in a special earlier this year as well (the new tax probably wouldn't allow them to maintain that price).

Seems like the Camry over priced in the used car market too. Trinicarsforsale has one, a PCX 2012 model for $340k doing 31k kms though. Toyota and that legendary resale value

Optima is real nice.

I looked at the Civic and FL Elantra. The Elantra - the car you should buy - features like wow. The Civic 1.5T the car you wanna buy - more expensive, less features but it will go!

The Mazda is a nice car. The mazda six was quoted at 268K, which makes it very tempting.

The Mazda 6 for 268k ain't a bad deal at all, it's pretty nice from what I've seen and heard.

Yeah...Mazda6 is 268 now and not many left. Did the test drive for both fusion and Mazda6 but the fusion felt a lot better. Also the fusion fully loaded is 370 but the SE is 299 and could always negotiate a lil.

Just was curious why so many ppl like the Mazda6, from th test drive it felt like it lacked some refinement. :s

If you going in 370k region won't the 3 series make more sense since that includes 5 years service and labour?

I'm considering one of these...The Civic is nice but there is a wait. The Elantra is available and the mazda3 well is SSSL

How about a sentra too. Cheaper, similar size, less feature yes, but you getting what you pay for as opposed to the cheaply lavish features of the hyundai.

BWDA @ those prices?

Have to stop calling them "econobox" yes.....

$400k for a Sonata? 600k for Camry and Accord?

But people buying yes...

I'm going to check the Euros around that price range. I believe the 1st page are relatively up to date...

I am one of those who would rather be caught in a Fusion 1.5t for the $370k vs a starter 316i for the same price.

True but you leaving out the 5 years service that's required to maintain the warranty...so you need to add about another 30k on the fusion over those 5 years whereas the BMW 318i got that included in price.

I feel they could have given you a better engine with better figures than that weak 1.5l 3 cylinder in the 318i. At 370k they could have at least given you a lil 150 hp.

All the other 1.5 turbos on the market pelting out plenty more Powah!

Yep I agree, it's not as preppy as others on the market, but considering the entire car it's a nice little package you get for the price.

Nope ...
You will pay higher price for the vehicle as they have a cash price and an in one price. Then you are only allowed to pay down a maximum of 30% so they make interest of the other 70%. The interest rate is higher than most banks and credit unions, 8% + I think.
They also have quite a bit of hidden fees like administration/processing fees when processing the loan and in one package.

You better off getting a loan from a bank paying them the cash price for the vehicle, so your purchase price and interest is lower and you skip out on their admin/processing fee's . You also have more control over the down payment. But the tatil insurance separate from the in one package is dirt cheap. Paid around $6800 for fully comprehensive with windshield cover. Every other insurance company was quoting me 9 to 10 thousand for the civic.
