How long did you have the Audi for... Cause the pre facelift B8 has serious electrical issues and the headliner glue gives up after some years... But you will only find out that if you have the vehicle long term.

The vehicle computer is tied into everything. Any light bulb that is blown will quickly be highlighted in the dash. This makes diy servicing a bit tough

Nice car...I still want a manual when I get a euro

Is actually one of the earlier b8 a4s, 2010. Really liked that car, took some good jam too. I don't drive it anymore but it still gets use, haven't ran into those issues tho, just usual service. Got an accord around the same time in the household and the service experience with the two have been pretty much on par. As for the headliner, daz an issue I hear a lot about older models. It was mostly parked under cover tho so maybe I lucked out

New Q5 leaks oil and Audi 4 had coil pack problems.
The 3.0 TDI Q7 is excellent . Best SUV ever in TT !
But you have to understand how to deal with service stuff.

Audi's focus in TT is on SALES not SERVICE after spending huge $$$.
After you spend hard earned $$$ there is service issues which are not solved at Audi (SSL).
BMW in TT is different . They invest more with the technicians . They solve problems.

Parts at Audi are outrageously over priced $$$.
Example: Pair side steps for the Audi SUV on Amazon $6000 TT landed. At Audi $22,000.

BMW was taken over by ANSA . ANSA needs to take over Audi :)

You just purchased the 2017 Colorado ? $289 K ? Tray cover ? Side steps ? Liner ?
Did you test drive or consider the 2016 Amarok ? Just asking.
A business friend owns 2015 Colorado. His choice was based on price.
He has no issues to date. He claims it's "cheap" to maintain. No off-road or construction use.
It is roomy and very little noise. Good size tray. Sits good on the road. But I find it has too much plastic
in the interior (2015). Strange about the commercial inspection in May. Enjoy ! :)

Yes I did.
Fully loaded 2017 model.
I didn't look at the Amarok. Had looked at it a year or so ago when I got the idea of getting a van.
But then I had a bad experience with Massy (servicing) and decided to hell with Massy. If you're not rich or don't look rich, then you get piss poor service with them. I had serviced there for years and noticed it every time.
Fingers crossed for LSM.

Yep it does.
Will take a photo and post it. Maybe I interpreted it wrong?
Light load (which I suppose is normal running), 34/45 and I cant remember for the Heavy Load.

I bought one.
I like it. Coming from a Tiida, so big change for me. I have a friend who bought the older model last year. So been keeping track of it, and he has had no issues with the van.
One thing I do not like about the sales experience with Lifestyle is that I somehow got saddled into having the van inspected. I got mine week before carnival and my inspection is in May. Why can't they get that done for you before they sell you the van? I don't recall having to go through that with Massy. All that just to save 300 on their part?
I had previously posted that my choices were the older Colorado, new Colorado or Audi Q3.
I really wanted to own an Audi, but they are over priced for what you get down here compared to what's on offer say in the US or Europe. Tropicalized they call it, where they strip off features.
I have a friend who got a Q5 (fully loaded) for her birthday, and I got a chance to check it out. Now it's a nice vehicle and I didn't feel any envy at all. There are some features on the Colorado that even her Q5 lacks, CarPlay, Android Auto, Collision Warning, Lane Departure and even a Tire Pressure Monitoring system, remote start, daylight running lights etc.
I do a lot of driving in traffic and I am averaging 10km per liter. When I first got it, and I was driving 40km/h to 50km/h and not as aggressively (first time driving a large van) I had seen my consumption at 11km per liter.
I have not done any real off road driving and only ever used the 4x4 hi mode once.
I think the van does look nice, has a nice "stance".
Feel free to ask anything you wanna know.

Really wasn't a fan of the old Colorado's smiley face but I really like the new one. I think they did a great job with the new styling and from the AU reviews it's a performer as well. With that 25k discount I see lifestyle advertising it really seems like a good buy, esp the way van prices seem to be climbing.

I'm compelled to chook inn a few words for Audi here tho. It's true that the models in stock don't have collision and lane departure warnings, however, they are available as an option for self optioned n ordered vehicles. A lot of the Q5s locally are not the cookie cutter build but optioned out by the customer for purchase. This is why they hardly have them in stock. Having said that, I've never seen a Q5 locally without DRLs and Audi has an ABS based indirect tyre pressure monitoring system:

Indirect TPMS systems don't use the tire pressure sensor unit, but instead measure pressure by monitoring individual wheel rotational speeds. A tire at low pressure will roll at a different wheel speed than tires at higher pressures.

Audi has used both systems in its vehicles, with Direct TPMS being used in earlier Audi models and an Indirect ABS (Antilock Brake System)TPMS system used in later models. The Indirect ABS based TPMS system makes use of the wheel speed sensors that are part of the antilock braking system and electronic stability control system. Audi is the first vehicle manufacturer that is standardizing the ABS based Indirect TPMS system. Downside bein you don't get a readout of the pressures on demand like a direct TPMS system

No excuse for the lack of apple carplay tho, those only come on newly refreshed models throughout the Audi range.

After I got the Colorado, the Audi salesman called me, offered me a further discount on the Q3. Told him I got the Colorado and told him why. He actually asked me to bring the Colorado to their showroom for them to check out. LOL. I haven't as yet.

I am a huge fan of Audi. I'd like to own on eventually. My dream car is the A8/S8 or if I win the lotto maybe the R8 V10.
I am one of those who has heard horror stories about poor service with Audi in Trinidad. From what I gather, service has improved. I've gone up to Audi drivers and asked them and they only had good things to say. I'll check in with my friend to see how the Q5 is going.
It really does suck that you pay that $$$ for an Audi and don't get any wiz bang features. The US Audi has emergency braking (collision avoidance), lane assist etc, adaptive cruise control and traffic jam assist (this is a feature I need!)

Just wanna point out that this was an uncommon issue abroad with the old legacy 3.2 naturally aspirated gas engine that Trinidad never got, and hasn't been available internationally for years. Not the turbocharged engines that we get here locally.

I agree 100% that the parts are overpriced tho, in fact I was having a talk with the manager and even he advised it would be cheaper to source major parts on my own if the need arises! This is nothing new tbh, I do the same for tttl and classic motors. 9k for the accord windscreen recently @ ansa's classic motors (no sensors or anything like that). So I really find it hard to believe that Richmond motors is any better. While my experience with ansa has been pleasant, I wouldn't call them budget friendly

Haven't had any issues with my Q5.

Service has been fine, but haven't had any problems and that's usually when then service sucks. Would put my head on a block for them.

Q7 3.0TDI? My few friends whom had full engine replacements won't agree.

Parts... when I broke at a light I was shivering at what the price was going to be. Bringing in the part myself + shipping and duties was about the same as SSL.

I have heard ANSA is better with their service. But I do fine they over price most of their vehicles compared to the others. A BMW X3 s-drive 20i is more expensive than a Q5 Quattro Prestige & GLC 250 4matic AMG pack. So more money for a rear wheel drive, under powered (compared), and not as loaded feature wise.

The New X3, X4, X5, X6 BMW is much better built - resale value is high :)
Audi resale is low . Looking at the A4 but know the resale will be low.
ANSA gives better service than SSL.
Hope one day ANSA takes the Audi Brand.

Q7 TDI is a fantastic - best SUV drive - as mentioned you have to know how to service.
The 3.0 engine, the 1 tonne weight and TDI. Interior size and safety issues = 10

Still looking for a TT owner's review on the 2016 Amarok :)

They are both overpriced and should be closer to their competitors as they don't offer much more if anything at all. I looked at the civic interior and couldn't understand why it cost so much more. It looks cheap

I agree it is pricey ... But for me the selling point was turbo powah, infotainment system and digital dash is really good for the class, the vehicle is actually much larger and less cramped than the other compact sedans, I could be wrong on exact dimensions but it seems more like mid size rather than a compact. Lastly the ride and handling feels almost euro like 90% there.

Which apple are you referring to

Displacement/torque/horsepower/cost/mpg.

Cause there are a lot of metrics that can be compared

If we use Cost per horsepower... Turbo Civic is more cost effecient than the Corolla... But that is a very narrow comparison to use

Obviously the 1.6 non turbo civic. I'd compare the turbo civic with the jetta

So forced induction engines from different brands would be in one category and atmospheric engines in another category.

Thing is... value for money is also a category in which all the vehicles mentioned can be compared.

Which do you think provides more value for money? A 1.6 NA corolla or civic?
