Heard from a rep around is q4 2018. Might be before.
Trying to sell out all the outgoing q5 models in stock first.

New Vehicle Prices In Trinidad & Tobago

Postby agent007 » April 24th, 2017, 8:15 pm

The libelous statement made by drchaos is being examined in stages:
He referred to the Hadeed's as "criminal big fish" but somehow found it proper to patronize Classic Motors, a division of ANSA Automotive which is a Group owned by the Sabga's. Previously he owned a Volkswagen product which came from a company at the time was co-owned by Massy Automotive and the Southern Sales group, the latter being owned by the Ahamad's.
This thread and overall this forum condones all aspects of business complaints. When one takes this so personal to openly slander a family name is not only disappointing but it is immature and unprofessional.

I expect like most law abiding people, if one has information of people involved in criminal activity do not come in some forum and type any nonsense to mislead people. You must report this to the TTPS because failure to do means you are no better than this criminal big fish family as you so put it.

Drchaos I've enjoyed many of your contributions on this thread as you seem to be consistent enough to bring good input off and on. I expected much better from someone who claims to know quite a lot.

In conclusion, you are being asked kindly to retract your statements made previously please. Thanks for your time.

Back to regular programming, Scotty, I heard something completely different. It is my understanding that the Q5 is currently sold out and SS is looking to place an order for the 2018 model as soon as it becomes available for the LATAM region.

Here are some prices:
Q3 1.4t - as low as $320k
Q3 2.0t Quattro - $415k
A4 2.0t - as low as $402k
A6 1.8t - as low as $475k
Q7 2.0t Quattro - as low as $665k
TT 2.0t Quattro - $519k

The new A4 is an extremely impressive and capable machine with a no frills look. I think even the 1.4T would be more than sufficient.

My account has been hacked. The posts made over the last 5 days were not made by me. This information came to me as I reviewed the many suspicious posts made by this account over the past few days that were not made by me. I have since changed the password to the account and disabled the automatic log in. Over the next few days I will be reviewing all the people who may have had access to my computer and all my mobile devices. I feel very hurt and saddened that someone would post such malicious and leading questions about a very prominent and respectable family in Trinidad and Tobago. If my search yields any leads as to who may have hacked/accessed my account without my permission I will surely pass this information onto the relevant authorities.

Screen shots of this page and the last have been saved and emailed to my lawyer and my mother for safe keeping in case this device I am posting from has been compromised as well.

Thank you all and good night.

I don't get this response. Did someone hack your account and made posts about your family experiences with the Subaru line of vehicles as well? If what you are saying is true then don't look too far because this "hacker" appears to know quite a lot of the vehicles your family purchases and detailed experiences with each. Very interesting, even this Subaru feedback posting was made after the disrespectful statements arising out of your user account.

The claim is the account was hacked for the last 5 days which means effective April 19th your user account was allegedly compromised yet I've reviewed and saved all of your contributions for the entire 2017 including specifically all your posts for the past 5 days and found nothing to be concerned about really except the libelous statement in this thread. It appears based on my iPad investigation thus far, this hacker specifically hacked your account to post up stuff and keep the flow with a sensible discussion on the property tax thread amongst others and then called it quits playing mr nice guy and attempts to tarnish your reputation in this new vehicle prices thread!

Your explanation is noted for now.

I bought one.
I like it. Coming from a Tiida, so big change for me. I have a friend who bought the older model last year. So been keeping track of it, and he has had no issues with the van.
One thing I do not like about the sales experience with Lifestyle is that I somehow got saddled into having the van inspected. I got mine week before carnival and my inspection is in May. Why can't they get that done for you before they sell you the van? I don't recall having to go through that with Massy. All that just to save 300 on their part?
I had previously posted that my choices were the older Colorado, new Colorado or Audi Q3.
I really wanted to own an Audi, but they are over priced for what you get down here compared to what's on offer say in the US or Europe. Tropicalized they call it, where they strip off features.
I have a friend who got a Q5 (fully loaded) for her birthday, and I got a chance to check it out. Now it's a nice vehicle and I didn't feel any envy at all. There are some features on the Colorado that even her Q5 lacks, CarPlay, Android Auto, Collision Warning, Lane Departure and even a Tire Pressure Monitoring system, remote start, daylight running lights etc.
I do a lot of driving in traffic and I am averaging 10km per liter. When I first got it, and I was driving 40km/h to 50km/h and not as aggressively (first time driving a large van) I had seen my consumption at 11km per liter.
I have not done any real off road driving and only ever used the 4x4 hi mode once.
I think the van does look nice, has a nice "stance".

Feel free to ask anything you wanna know.

1. Would you buy it again?
2. Is it the fabric or leather
3. Hows the ride? I rode in a few Hilux and Navara and found them very harsh.

1. I would buy it again
2. It is fabric. The older fully loaded came with leather (supposedly). This one comes in fabric. In AUS comes with leather. They will charge extra to have the leather done locally. I actually was at a company looking for something for the van and they mentioned that they do the leather for the vans from lifestyle.
3. Coming from a car, I would say I haven't really noticed anything too harsh about it. A lot depends on what PSI you run your tires at I suppose. When I got it, they had it at 36 and you do notice a different. I went down to 32 and it was car like. I am back up to 34/35 cuz that's what Chevy recommends and I like how it handles.

The sticker inside the door recommends 34/35 psi... Wow that sounds a touch high. For comparison the older model hilux recommends 29 psi.

hellbent ..
You just purchased the 2017 Colorado ? $289 K ? Tray cover ? Side steps ? Liner ?
Did you test drive or consider the 2016 Amarok ? Just asking.
A business friend owns 2015 Colorado. His choice was based on price.
He has no issues to date. He claims it's "cheap" to maintain. No off-road or construction use.
It is roomy and very little noise. Good size tray. Sits good on the road. But I find it has too much plastic
in the interior (2015). Strange about the commercial inspection in May. Enjoy ! :)

My lawyer has gotten back to me after the e mail and screen shots sent to him last night. He has reviewed the pages in question and saved all the posts on from account and this thread made over the past six days. He reports that the unknown person/persons who has accessed my account seems to have posted a question rather than statement. Legally it could be argued that this is a leading question but that is a stretch at best.

He has also advised me to make a police report of about the missing/possibly stolen mobile phone from my premises about a week ago as this android device has all my sign-in information for all my online accounts, this will be done later today or early tomorrow. As a mobile device (blu phone) has been missing and there is strong suspicion that it was stolen . Over the course of the day I will be changing all my passwords to most if not all of my online accounts.

He has also asked me to advise the posters on this thread to be careful about posting/reposting/quoting potentially libelous posts/information, as you are responsible for information that you repost/post and can be held accountable under the libel laws here in T&T.

I am truly saddened by what has taken place here and I advise all fellow tuners to take cyber criminality as a serious issue that we face here in Trinidad and Tobago and that we should all take precautions to prevent these things from happening.

You claim that one of your personal mobile phones was stolen about a week ago which contains online credentials for multiple accounts and for someone who peruses this site as often as you do, you saw nothing suspicious with respect to your account activity for several days? Furthermore and to-date you did not see it fit to report this personal stolen device to the TTPS? You needed legal advice to do so? Lastly, you're saying that your statement was actually a question which even if it is taken as a leading type question, the possibility of arguing this legally is a stretch?

ANSA reps I have spoken to said they don't know yet but my personal opinion is they won't. From what I have noticed is we don't get alot of manual sports car/hot hatches. Manufactures and dealers also don't represent with alot of manuals here.

Well i hope that changes, think this particular car would do well down here even tho is manual. It really disappointing is only the wrx/gti are the only dealership vehicles in this segment that are offered.

To be fair the dsg is pretty nice, test drove both of them & i preferred the gti overall. They both still however overpriced imo.

Yeah 400K price tag on that GTI is heading into 320i territory.

The WRX was very reasonably priced when it was introduced, dunno what its looking like now.

Really wasn't a fan of the old Colorado's smiley face but I really like the new one. I think they did a great job with the new styling and from the AU reviews it's a performer as well. With that 25k discount I see lifestyle advertising it really seems like a good buy, esp the way van prices seem to be climbing.

I'm compelled to chook inn a few words for Audi here tho. It's true that the models in stock don't have collision and lane departure warnings, however, they are available as an option for self optioned n ordered vehicles. A lot of the Q5s locally are not the cookie cutter build but optioned out by the customer for purchase. This is why they hardly have them in stock. Having said that, I've never seen a Q5 locally without DRLs and Audi has an ABS based indirect tyre pressure monitoring system:

Indirect TPMS systems don't use the tire pressure sensor unit, but instead measure pressure by monitoring individual wheel rotational speeds. A tire at low pressure will roll at a different wheel speed than tires at higher pressures.

Audi has used both systems in its vehicles, with Direct TPMS being used in earlier Audi models and an Indirect ABS (Antilock Brake System)TPMS system used in later models. The Indirect ABS based TPMS system makes use of the wheel speed sensors that are part of the antilock braking system and electronic stability control system. Audi is the first vehicle manufacturer that is standardizing the ABS based Indirect TPMS system. Downside bein you don't get a readout of the pressures on demand like a direct TPMS system

No excuse for the lack of apple carplay tho, those only come on newly refreshed models throughout the Audi range.

Audi A4 @ > $400K.

Audi Brand is well received around the World. The technology is fantastic.

But not in T&T :(
Here in TT there is very little support in terms of warranty and service.
Until attention is more customer service oriented i.e. the will to give A++++ service , an Audi purchase
can be a financial nightmare. Q5 has lots of issues. - so not in agreement with above.

Anyone who owns an Audi knows ( or will soon realize) , your Audi can become a "money pit"
but despite spending $$$ problems continue to exist. Look at the amount of "used Audi" for sale.

In Barbados where ANSA sells Audi Brand, I am told the service etc., is A++++

ANSA's BMWs seems to have much better support and the "new car" prices are much more realistic in terms
of international pricing.

I suppose I can only speak for myself here, but having owned an older A4 and recent Q5 I've received decent service and support. Tbh tho I've heard horror stories about every local firm, including southern sales. Never had the cause for warranty claims tho. As for the Q5 having issues, care to share any? Some people say this but I've never heard anything concrete. The 2.0tfsi has been a solid performer in the industry thus far, save for early revisions surprising customers with oil burning (within manufacturer tolerances and has since been updated) and the transmission is the ZF 8 speed that you'd find in pretty much any modern luxury vehicle across most major brands, widely considered bulletproof. The Q5 has a very strong reliability rating. Of course I expect there will be lemons as there are with any car, but it's not as widespread as some people seem to believe.

I suspect a lot of the issues people complain about are those running with diesel engines on our crappy sulphur rich fuel, these tend to be a lot of the used Q7s you see on the market. That along with Trinidad's poor euro resale market and the uninitiated viewing Benz and BMW alone as "big cars".

As for the current A4 pricing at 402k, one must consider that this is the 2.0t as opposed to the BMW 3 series and c class' smaller displacements in the same price bracket.
