Price was quoted in TT dollars and reflected an exchange rate of about 6.7
Can't rely on sales people though.
Please someone in customs. Please answer this question!

If this is truly the case expect to hybrid for so, and if they really allowing 1998cc engines we should start to see all sorts of cool stuff like the Outlander http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/vehicles/outlander/specifications/outlander-phev, and the Vezel Hybrid for low 200k prices

carluva wrote:^^^ you really think so? I called a sales rep at massy yesterday and we spoke about the xtrail hybrid. He said massy was looking to bring it down for some time now but never did. They have to see if the vehicle was suitable for the market, similar to what they did before selling the new sentra. By the way, the sales rep also said that xtrail prices would increase due to the foreign exchange rate, but i more feel is to be nasty and dig out ppl eye as more ppl may flock for the xtrail as its under 2000cc.
If that logic applies, then it may be a while before other folks bring down their hybrids. Plus, you really think these ppl gonna push hybrids? Trinis have money and they will still buy the other vehicles. Since when car dealers does cater for the needs and demands of john public?

Nah not the outlander. Hybrids and electric tax free limited to 1999cc or less AND it has to be less than 179hp. Outlander is 200.

Is it combined theoretical max HP or just gas engine HP

He said NO TAX so that should include duties as well which for that engine size should be 25%.
