New Vehicle Prices In Trinidad & Tobago

Postby scotty_buttons » October 23rd, 2015, 9:51 pm

Wow. That's kinda pricey for a Jimny.
I see bmw started bringing in the x5 with a 2.0 liter twin turbo diesel in addition to the usual 3.0 diesel. Wonder if starting price would be affected much..

Also the new, bigger 2016 X1 launched last week or so. Huge upgrade IMO and so far great reviews. If priced properly (should be around 3 series pricing) it should give the fully loaded RAV4, cx-5, etc some competition!

The sentra still has drum brakes in the back ...
It 2015 people ... I thought only Toyota had the balls to do this.

New model is almost always a significantly higher price than the previous model in Trinidad.
But if the x1 anywhere close to the size of the Japanese compact SUVs then, not bad.

Ford never brought in the Focus RS. They only brought in the Focus ST.

New Mazda 2 sedan available from Southern sales, starting at 144 basic and 156 loaded. I really like how it looks.

Last year there was a discussion about these engines on this thread.. And it was said that they require our premium fuel.. Probably because of the high compression ratio in these engines. But in my reading I gathered that it can take 87 octane was well.. So
Just wanted to confirm

I actually thought the look on the inside was bad. ... Looks like a lot of afterthought. That protruding deck face...everything looks like layers upon layers and nothing appears to flow smoothly. Headlights I can live worth once it's the projectors. ..

It's amazing Mazda sends us their little 2 with the skyactiv 1.5 and the bigger brother 3 comes with an ancient mzr 1.6. Toyota is selling this Mazda as a scion in the US market.

Cinco, natural market position and internal progression. Your little brother cannot have the replacement engine and the bigger brother using the out dated one. Perhaps the 2 should be 1.3 and 1.5 locally and the 3 should be 1.5 and 2.0 since I don't think they have a suitable 1.6 and 1.8 replacement engine in their lineup.

Chaos I think it is absurd that a car such as the 1.5 cng city selling for 170k despite the tax incentives supposedly applied. A 1.6 lancer is 150k for crying out loud. Anyway Honda is a local niche luxury alternative locally so says an ignorant rep in classic motors. Can't afford a bmw 116i? Not to worry, a luxury alternative with great gas mileage is the city cng. Don't get hit from behind with that bomb in the trunk though.

It's amazing that you still don't realise that as a third world market we get whatever dumped on us and we buy them up.
