Aaron's motor blew (shitty but it happens). He believes the cause to be bad gas and aggressive tune (reasonable claim but based on what he says doesn't make sense)BANzai Rastafarai wrote:Wouldn't running Meth nullify any problems with octane? Regardless of tune?
Banzai Questions claim of bad gas being culprit. This makes sense because not only is he running water/meth injection which effectively raises the octane and cools the mixture but since Aaron said the ignition advance multiplier was 16 it proves the failure was not due to knock. Since octane is a measure of knock resistance it can be established that in whatever capacity the meth was operating irrespective of the quality of the gasoline - it was sufficient for the tune. IE it doesn't matter what the trigger point was...it had nothing to do with the engine failure.16 cycles wrote:^ depends on your trigger for the meth to start spraying...
At this point you say that meth and therefore the octane could be a culprit depending on the trigger.

You didn't say it verbatim...but you said it
