Hahahahahahah! What a load of crap.

There are still many so-called mechanics here who still don't know how fuel injection works and still \ ripping off customers with their 'cleaning devices'.

LOL so you think that in 4 years there won't be at least 1 mechanic that is well versed on repairing hybrid cars?

What a load of dung .....

I am really liking this roll out of free service! Have to commend Ansa for starting this trend.

Say What. .. That was offered on cars in the earlies. ... Ansa has just been promoting it recently
Our 1996 Corolla was bought with free service for 2yrs/50000km... and at that time they if they couldn't fix they replaced with minimal amount of hassle...5000km oil changes.

Just went by kia
There is a lower spec cerato available for around $185k but I didn't see it listed on the first page. ... Don't quote me on that price

That lower spec one is the one they always running the special on whenever they advertise the $5000 down deal.

How come Kia never has a deal for the Optima though. Every single vehicle in their line up is offered except the Optima.

I was 12 then...used to go with my dad for vehicle service in Barataria. I only heard stories about amar. Tttl had recently been formed to "fix" the damage that was done to the brand... That's when the Japanese were here.
Service back then was alot better than now.
Not sure what to make of the comeback

Looking into the VW golf TGI
And the Cng passat... Any consideration for cng vehicles still

Looked at those as well, both vehicles are bi fuel cars. Both gas and cng tanks on board with a ton of range. Problem is the cng tax exemption only run for cars that are cng only, if it's bi fuel vehicle then you have to pay full taxes. The only car I could find that was cng only was civic, and they only make that car for North America. Seems the laws and tax exemptions was not well consulted or well researched.

Also most car companies are very restrictive of the cars they send to Trinidad, esp. VW. VW has a range hybrids and electrics now that they are not going to send here. The Golf GTE hybrid and the E-Golf are out already, also a Passat GTE is due next year.

Thanks for the info
Didn't know they still charged the full tax for bi fuel cars. Thought they might be cheaper to put on the road.
Yeah I agree. .. the limit on the vehicles that we get is sad...it is funny though that Toyota is among the first to bring hybrid cars through the dealership to our market

Toyota gets a lot of hate for a lot of things but they do give us a big chunk of the vehicles they offer worldwide.

Mint cars ltd have the Honda Vezel for about 275K on special and they have 3 year warranty on it. They also said they bringing in the hybrid early next year.
Seems they bringing in foreign new and offering a service and warranty package. The only thing to find out now is if these guys have training on service and repair for these cars or they are just "normel mechanics"

For those interested in Hybrid you guys should check out the Vezel hybrid and the Fit hybrid. Honda seems to be back in the game.

any information on dealerships leasing cars to individuals? would rather lease and upgrade every few years as opposed to buying and trying to sell to upgrade.

The only thing I heard about private lease was put out by Classic Motors a few months back. They were offering the accord for just under 5K per month. Problem is that you have to sign a lease agreement for no less than 5 years. Makes no financial sense as you would end up paying out close to 300K after 5 years and in the end you have no car to sell to recover some of the losses.

Better to buy ...

Downpayment money
Insurance money yearly
Service cost including tyres
That's y I opted to lease from ssl

Strange enough. .. Service costs are very low if you can do it yourself. Tyres can also last long. ... Very long. ... depends on how you use. .. or abuse them.

Might work out to be very similar in costs overall

Well with Ansa you sort of get service and insurance for a year or 2 with buying depending when their special runs ... So still dont see the benefit of leasing.
