Got a Griots DA polisher, this thing is awesome. Will post some pics soon. Can anyone recommend some locally available pads (for the 6" backing plate).

If you take good care of your vehicle, air and drying towels are the way to go. Have not been using Chamois' for a while now. I still have, and some people still prefer them, but I never use them again. If you're going to buy something new, do as Aaron advised and get a drying towel. Air drying is also a great way to go.

Sigh I feel so out of it.

Anyhow guys, new car...black

Toyota put some complimentary swirls/scratches which are very light and hard to notice.

What do you all recommend?

That could go one of two ways.
1. If you're accustomed to swirling up your cars a lot, don't bother to cut if they swirls are very light.. in that event use something like SRP that will hide it a bit, and HDwax combo and wait until it gets a little worse and de-swirl the next time.
OR
2. Considering that it's new and you might want to fix it properly, a finishing polish and wax or sealant. Toyota paint isn't that hard to work with, so any reasonable finishing polish should work. The M205, or Menz 4000. Something like that. Just one stage and you should be ok.

Take pics so we can see exactly how bad the swirls are.

Seemed to work well on the STI. You got locally or imported?

He can get the 205 locally if he doesn't want to wait.

I have a 32oz bottle of Menzerna 4500 I eh use yet, willing to give away some seeing it has a 24 month shelf life.

The swirl marks really not bad per se.

I have no idea what product they use to prep it for delivery. I also have a bottle of Voodoo SILQ I'm willing to try out and top it with a wax.

Can't wait to get back into this, long weekend coming up next week too.

Why the 4500 sitting around so long? It should still be fine though, keep it. That has very little cut though, so maybe you buy a compound that has a reasonable finish and finish with the 4500 that you already have. Would not recommend attempting to use 4500 for swirl removal.
