Good car. Nice drive with light steering. Comes with Bluetooth standard (big plus for me).
1.4 engine and runs on super, also if you get the blue efficiency engine it does close to 50mpg.
Back seat kinda cramped in my opinion, but worth it for the price.

Guess it's a matter of preference but I don't like light steering too much. I have heard others complain about that in the elantra as well.

I actually love the elantra steering. so it is really a personal preference. the steering wheel makes it amazingly easy to park and drive. the evo is heavy and with amazing feedback, the elantra is smooth light and less feedback.

4Motion thanks for the update, when I viewed the Ford Kuga at the time, the rep told me they didn't have any camera options on their vehicle, he also said that they'd be getting models with the panoramic sunroof later as well, is it still coming with the automatic lift gate? Also to me the price has increased substantially as well, however, that 5 years hassle free maintenance will be a 'God' send for a lot of folks!

I guess for the same reason we don't speak much about the latest Subaru Impreza here. They are ridiculously priced for what you actually getting. They are both more expensive than a Jetta yet offer slower performance and less features while having larger engines.

At the very least they should have their nice designs but simply be cheaper but they more expensive due to demand I guess...

Thats not demand that driving up the prices ... Its the stealerships driving up prices and trying to convince people that a car brand is more premium than it is.

Same with the Mazda CX-5, which is sold by SS over 400K when that car is priced competitively with a Rav-4 everywhere else as mentioned by a post earlier !

The standard diesel santa fe goes for about 350k to 400k I believe. The gas models goes for alot less.
Dont have any experience with the sorento tho.
But I would recommend the sante fe... never had any bad experiences with services either

There were alot of features I just mention only a few of them. Yes it has the powered tailgate when when you put your foot under the car it opens too (or something like that :) ) . 7 airbags too. Don't think the mentioned the moonroof. Not a badly equipped car at all and yes that in-one is definitely a good package.

I was talking to a Honda rep about 2 months ago when I entered the showroom to check out the new accord. I parked right outside the Diamond Motors building so I guess he may have seen what I was driving since he was by the showroom glass watching out on Richmond street. Anyway, whilst he was talking about the features the car has or in my case realizing what the car doesn't have, the $379k figure spill out normal and well he probably read my facial expression and then tells me this is not a VW. He reminded me that it's a Honda and I reminded him that in this day and age you cannot bring in a base model car with fabric seats, 16 inch rims, 2.0 sohc engine and a 5speed auto transmission and tell me this is a luxury car at a competitive price especially since it not made in Japan anymore but in Thailand. To me the price actually went up not down. :?

Of course its not a VW!

Cause at 240 K VW would give you a 1.4 TSI twin charged engine at 158 Hp, Sun roof, touch screen infotainment system, 7 speed DSG transmission, disk brakes from and back, 17 inch wheels, premium interior with more soft touch materials with leather/leatherette accents on hand brakes, steering wheel and gear shifter, cloth interior.

At 240 K Honda would give 1.6 i-VTEC engine around 120 Hp, No sunroof, basic infotainment system, 5 speed automatic transmission, drum brakes at rear, 16 inch alloys, Nice interior but all hard plastics (some people like hard plastics), cloth interior.

That dealer is so very right, he should be commended for pointing out the fact that these two brands price for price are no where near one another.
