sigh...

availability...

RB26's only came in GTRs ....

2j's came in almost all rwd recent toyota models...

altezza, aristo, supras.... tons of other stuff...

plus...the extra 400cc's of displacement in the 2jz compared to the 26s is never a downside.... 8-)

Anybody who put a JZ in a GTR, changed their car from a supercar, therefore affecting the resale value :?

To be debated with no conclusion. RB26s unless built seem* to be weak. anyone I know with a 26 is on their 2nd motor at least. I love the 26 but the JZ has been solid.

don't think anyone has put a 2JZ in a 35 GTR yet, if you're referring to older Skylines they aren't supercars, just really great cars

to the detractors these cars are purpose built, if the JZ gets the results the owners want faster so be it don't tote

what do you think is the weight difference in an aristo, or a altezza, in comparison to a 32... and some/most of the times these arent GTRs they're GTS'

so the RWD conversion isn't that hard.

the aerodynamics and wheelbase of nearly ALL the 32,33,34's are almost FLAWLESS in body design, each having advantages over the other.

not to mention, drifting is a 'hi revving' sport... rb's dont really survive that too well under stock conditions.... however.... 2jz stand the test.
