seriously how is the Forester in terms of maintenence and availability of parts, besides from wear and tear are there any particular parts that go bad? Considering getting one

FORESTER .. after owning one for the past 2 years ..... sweet for days

maintenance ...... timing belt changes @ 100000km ...... 19 to 21 MPG depending on your driving style.......the usual fluid changes ... engine oil @ 5000km full synthethic AMZOIL.

My personal schedules ..... tranny oil .... brake fluid.... front diff oil ... rear diff oil .... radiator coolant ......every 12 months ......

tyre rotation with speed balance and alignment check every 4 months. :)

As you can see , I'm VERY particular about my ride . :)

ALL parts can be sourced at N&M ... I deal with the south branch .... NO PROBS.

On the downside ....... don't let any wayside , wanna be a scooby mechanic tamper with your vehicle...... and yeah .... the sparking plugs are a pain in the a$$ to change as there is very little working space

What's priceless about owning a Forester?

The answer is simple .... IT"S A FREAKING SLEEPER  Most people look at it as a wagon ..... but hey .... it's got 10 psi of stock boost
