Saw the Honda Elevate touch down. Let’s hope pricing isn’t ridiculous, kinda resembles the Raize a bit

But once again the roro dealers beat them...there are a few WRVs on the road already. Not sure of their price point.

Sold in India starting at 13000 us with top spec of 20000 US

How ANSA reach 37000 US?

Yet people will rush and buy it.

What is the tax structure on vehicles in India? Just be mindful when comparing ICE vehicles

EVs are better to compare cross border as many countries give tax breaks for purchasing so easier to see how much the stealerships actually marking up

This is a small engine vehicle less than 1.6 cc in engine size

Even taxes can not account for such a huge markup

Remember, ANSA will, as a dealer, be paying less than these prices.

Our eyes are being juked out.

Think about it: that's a 300% price increase for the entry level of the customer price after taxes in India.

If we assume that it's the fully loaded model, that's still a 200% price increase. Remember , ANSA will be getting these at a lower cost.

I see the government has removed all duties on lithium batteries, this could actually boost resale values on EVs 8-10 years down the road

Decent move

How's the Haval, BYD, MG, Proton and KGM vehicles treating you all lately? All those who were thinking about buying one "seriously", what's the feedback like? Or still studying how trashy a small crossover is or how much rubbish a wet belt Ford engine is?

I hear Mazda having a huge recall currently, hope it doesn't affect.... Yours.... Also I saw the new Mazda ez-60 (Chinese vehicles) looks good, if Mazda thinks a Chinese company is good enough to collaborate with, then why do you think your opinion matters?

nothing but positive stuff so far from mine and others ive talked to, at least from the BYDs. emas 7 also so far so good (its the same car as geely ex5, which is considered pretty top quality). haven't talked to anyone about the others

I don't service at SSSL anymore so I won't know about any recalls but thanks for that as no one mentioned anything in the Mazda group that I am in. Someone posted that ez6 thing a while back and all I could say is them could keep it. As for my opinion gosh my feelings get touch bai. I not using napkins anymore, I switch to downy to wipe my tears so I can re-use it to save money.

Fella, I glad for you. Which particular model you driving? I saw a Tank 300 and ask the driver how much for it and he say 450 I think as it was noisy since it had the usual hard pong nissan driver in the other lane playing one set ah ghetto thug sheit music. But this tank thing looking real proper. It might be more reliable than a Jeep Wrangler for all you know lol. I definitely won't mind that if I was going Chinese but it's a whole $100k more expensive than my car. The math's really not mathsin in this country.

personally i drive the Seal - it's best car i ever drove, and never having to go back to a gas station has been a godsend.

i agree on the price concerns for local EVs - i fought the dealerships over that, because it really is ridiculous. didn't really end up paying showroom price, but it was still too much considering no taxes on these. but everyone is different - personally i had a very strict set of criteria for the kind of car i wanted, of which battery warranty was at the top of the list, thus roro wasn't an option for me.

but i've been consuming EV content almost nonstop for a while now, and interestingly enough the chinese automotive scene is so far ahead of everywhere else it's not even funny. TT would be so much better off if these rats (local dealerships) actually priced the cars reasonably

You think the avg new car buyer does read the brochure? All them looking for is a deal. Both are marketed as "SUV"s. One is 365k with bose (probably even less now that a new one is coming out) and the Chinese tank is closer to 500k based on my search.

China SUV more expensive. How? You already know because of the diff lockers and turbo etc. But generally, people aren't going that far. I mean you all talking about how wet belt is a sheit design. You think the avg Ford Ranger owner know their timing belt is bathed in oil? But ihu.

I had to Google it. Lol. Seems like a Chinese version of the tesla model s and lucid air. Probably even up there with the audi etron and porsche taycan at a fraction of the cost with amazing battery technology. Good for you! I hope your experience goes well.

The laat Chinese Ambassador in TT has said we are buying cheap cars for a lot of money.

Also I didn't realize there is significant scope for negotiations with some dealerships. One of my coworkers recently bought a Torres EVX and paid like 305k. That's well below the advertised price.

Went to see the Tucson Hybrid yesterday.

Not the fully loaded because I simply cannot afford it, But the Comfort spec is very nice and loaded with features. No 12V battery except integrated into the big Hybrid battery under the backseat, So music installation would be a challenge BUT not impossible.

THis actually is not bad. This is a Geely E5 with a proton badge, but is sold in malaysia for 200,000 ttd.
SO overpriced, but you get a Geely which is one of the better chinese EV brands. Im sure you can beat down ansa to a 260K.

Im still holding out for the Xiaomi YU7.
