Nissan Xtrail Hybrid T32 - U0111

Postby robert0r » December 20th, 2020, 7:58 pm

Hi Guys,

Long story short a shop did some shady work on my xtrail and didnt secure / replace the Coolant lines properly, coolant sprayed all over the engine and it either corroded or damaged a sensor / connector.

After having a diagnostic done:
The trouble code is U0111 - "Lost communication with battery energy control module "A" "

Based on my research this code usually occurs when a connector has corrosion and loses contact with the module / or the module itself is damaged. I don't believe the module itself to be damaged as these things are usually sealed and also this occurred right after the fluid spilled and covered some connectors and started drying and corroding stuff.

I'm wondering if anyone knows where i can find an auto electrical shop that does repairs or would clean the faulty connector / module and reset the code.

Id do it myself but I don't know where this connector is and don't have experience with hybrids so I don't too much wanna mess with things.
Any advice is appreciated.

regards,

Did you get this solved? I've had this error for the past 3 years that I've had my car. Car seems to work well even with the error code

@nitestalkerman

I had the coolant lines repaired and i cleaned out the engine bay with a damp cloth and eventually the code seemed to clear itself and didnt come back.

Did you notice that while the code is on the vehicle does not go on electric.

Mine has returned to normal function after the light came off though.
