Nissan QR20 DE Problem

Postby medabee45 » December 26th, 2017, 8:37 pm

Guys,

I have a 200JK with a QR20DE engine. It has approx 169k KMS on the engine and I am getting a very strange issue. The car runs perfectly except for an intermittent rough idling/ Missing / bucking issue. It happens on cold start and you can feel the miss while driving normally as well. It feels as though a cylinder is not working.

Info:
New Spark plugs installed
MAF cleaned
Throttle body cleaned
no codes
coil packs good
compression good.

Anyone else having this issue?

I was thinking same as well. I actually regrounded the MAF today after doing some research, so far so good. Will update as I progress. If this doesn't solve it next step is to clean injectors.

Did you ever figure out what was causing the issue or had it fixed.

I am currently experiencing something similar but it only seems to happen for the first 1-2 seconds after the vehicle is started from cold.

It would idle rough for that short time and then the rpms would raise and the problem doesn't appear to return until the next cold start.

Spark plugs were changed less than 5000kms ago. Milage is 135000k. The throttle body hasn't been touched and neither has the maf sensor or anything else for that matter.
Engine is in a T30 xtrail

Suggestions on solutions are welcomed
