Nissan Juke YF15.

Last week I received a 2014 YF15 Juke for a client. I was pleasantly surprised by the handling and ride of this unit. The seat was pretty comfortable…….one that you could sit in all day and drive. I don't know how Nissan did it with the CVT, but there is no great lag, and the HR15 engine does quite well in hauling 1200 kgs of weight.
An acquaintance told me that Nissan has the Extroid CVT in the Juke. If this is so, then this is excellent, as years ago reviews pointed out that this was a superior type of CVT rather than the belt type that fails on the Toyota cars. At that time, Nissan was using the Extroid in cars over 2,000cc.
Even the electric steering feels good…..not like the Tiida and others.
The unit has a low mileage, and the interior was clean. Engine had a little dust. The 17" tires have a lot of life, as the unit just crossed 7,000kms while I drove.
While there was no deck nor back camera, the owner has that in hand already.
This unit is costing TT$ 129,700.
Hoping to get the registration number this week.

I can see myself owning a Juke.
There is a HR16 Turbo on the Japanese market too. But this will use Premium of course. I saw one on the Hochoy recently.
Peace.
RR.

There is no HR16 turbo, FYI. It's the MR16DDT.
It's a pity the JDM 1.6 DIG-T Jukes don't come with the 6spd manual gearbox.
