y11 Spark plug

Postby Audiotec20 » November 21st, 2014, 5:07 pm

ok guys just need some clarification. I am used to tuning up my car so I usually know what I need. Thing is I went to a parts place today and asked for some spark plugs for my y 11 which is a qg15 e-throttle. When I told the guy the model of engine he gave me plugs to suit however when I examined the plugs it was a longer threaded plug than the one that I took out. I did ask the guy if there is a difference and he explained that the e-throttle carries a longer plug than the cable type engines. he said that the shorter plugs will also work on the e-throttle but hinder performance a bit and I have been using these plugs since.
So just wanted a second opinion if he is correct and have I been using the wrong plugs all this time. Which do I need the long or short

QG15DE e-throttles actually use the longer plug. Part number NGK: LFR5A-11.
