About to do a service on a recently purchased y12 Rider and would appreciate any advice / recommendation in terms of :

1. Brand and body of engine oil
2. NS2 CVT fluid ( how to tell if it needs changing )
3. Brand of box type air filter to use for improved performance
4. Recommended brand and coolant type
5. Recommended brake fluid brand and type ( dot 3, 4 )
6. Recommended oil filter / fuel filter ( if applicable )

Any other info in terms of servicing properly.

Bear in mind, I usually change my oil every 6 months whether the car does the mileage or not and i am positive the car will not do 5k km in a year ( less for sure as I use another vehicle for 90% of the day )

Do I use a cheaper oil and change semi annually OR higher price and grade oil and change once annually ?

CVT do not have a oil dip stick so you would need to use a Nissan Consult 2 scan tool to determine the fluid levels...I not sure if the scan tells you when tranny fluid needs changing though (I would need to investigate that).

Recommendations what you required can be found in the car manual from www.nissanusa.com. It is from USA but its basically same standardized recommendations (oil body 10w 30 etc) but I use 20w 50.

Yes but can you use it like a normal dipstick oil check? lol
